And now we leave American soil and take these lumbering behemoths to the tight, twisty streets of Citta di Aria. Leave the paint off the walls, listen to the rumble of the engine through those narrow alleyways and try not to admire the view too much ;)

Track :
Citta di Aria (Forward) / Hotlap

Rules:
Use the car and setup you have opted for, following the rules outlined in the AMC Thread.

Discuss only T-times.
Clean OLR Standards:
No wall touching. No wall touching. No wall touching.
The enitire course is considered part of the track; sidewalks, rumble strips and all (just stay off the walls).

No hybrids
No Cheating of any kind

Time Submission:
Send your time via PM to me, including splits and final run.

Submit the time listed in replay file name by 11:59 AM (PST) October Sunday 16th. You may run as often or as little as you like; you've got the full week to perfect your setup and gain the fastest single lap that you can.

Although I'd prefer it if drivers didn't re-send multiple times (it may cause a mix up with what is considered your final and fastest run), this is only a loose rule ... you can submit more than once before the deadline, just try not to bury me :p

Luxy has kindly allowed us a little webspace for tracking splits (as per the Luxy Leaderboard used in the WRS):

Initial splits after 5 laps this morning, I left about .5 on this lap AFTER T2, hhmm...can we say Infineon again? This time I'll try to hit it all the way thru.

All I'm going to say about this track is that it was hard to stay off the walls with a Miata, trying to do the same in a Cuda, right.:scared:
 
Got to be completely clean ;) That's the fun of this little place ... can't have you knocking the plant pots off Sergei's windowsill, you know.

Throttle modulation is key, here. That and having low power as opposed to our friends with, say, 660 hp. I have seen even lower splits, including a 1'03.887, but I decided to park it in that conveniant little spot at the end of the straight. :banghead:

I think a person to watch would be Koly, this week. Prodigious power in that small a package is going to be lethal...
 
Oh yeah. I expect some weird shift in the ranks for this week, given the conditions and all that. When I ran my Ultimat Street car seris here, the Viper finished last, 3 seconds behind the 350Z, and the GTO fed crow to the LeMans Quattro, the Aston martin, the Zonda, ect...
 
Err....What do I do if my car doesn't fit down this track?!

I suppose I can just sit and do burnouts in front of spectators 👍

Boy if that's a challenge I've ever seen. Powerhouses tearin' through twisty streets of Citta. You're gonna have to do more than fold back the wing mirrors. :lol: Good luck trying to get through without a scratch.

Anyone have any setups advice for this track regarding suspension, lsd, aids and such?
 
Hey, I'm just saying that you guys got your hand full this week. I might just grab an American Muscle car and head to Italy just for the fun of it. It's definitely a challenge. And I like challenges.
 
Bring it on Bleu!!! Show us how it's done. Personally, after a 10 minute session .... I'm running about 3 seconds off where I'd like to be :(

I took some advice from MinorShunt and I'm using ASM and TCS. :crazy:


AMS 5 / 5
TCS 1 (You shouldn't need to use TCS on the Camaro unless your spinning the tires alot)

I haven't changed my suspension settings.

Here's something I used for Sears Point, and it's one of those oddities that I've heard discussed on the forums. Don't add weight in the weight bias, but shift the (nonexistent) weight from front to rear and test your car that way. For some strange reason it makes a difference. LSD? Don't do it Koly. You're way too good for drugs :D
 
I love Corvettes, but I have this feeling that I should ditch it in favor of a Bi-turbo V6 Audi S4 :D. The scenery here reminds me of the movie Ronin.
 
I just got through "paintin' the town"....Shelby white with a twin blue stripe. I don't think I left any part of it untouched.

For all the underachievers.....some rather embarrassing :O early splits

T1: 38.552
T2: 1'08.909

I think I can break 1'08 but not sure how much lower I can get (1'07 :confused:, very doubtful) . Room for improvement all the way 'round this baby.

nope, no XP. I'm on a school comp right now, hence the lack of - after a space. :dopey:

I might upgrade my computer to XP however...(I've got Windows ME, so for all you non-techie people, this means I have perhaps one of the worst Operating Systems ever created.... then again Windows isn't all that great in general.)
