Eh,m I am hardly keeping up with this anymore, and, sadly, the flames are getting a little high.
Look, I grew up with Muscle cars around me, and I can identify a lot of them by sight. I also know the history of these cars. Most of which, despite popular belief, is European, look at the lines, everyones lady the 427 Cobra, was a classic example of this, it was based on a British roadster, (actually most of Shelbys designs were very influenced by European automobiles).
Now, as I do know, these vehicles, and people who love them build them, and race them on weekends, I can tell you that they are actually, the ones believing that this is the return to American Muscle, these men who have driven Chargers, at speeds most wouldnt dare try, these men and women were the original street racers. The return of the 300M, introduction and reintroduction, of several powerful vehicles from all the American companies, GTO, Thunderbird, and soon the Charger(I want a R/T in white, Vanish baby). These small cars may take our roads back, I am sick of hearing nothing but the sound of modified Hondas screeming past my window.
Call them what you will, I see them as a hope, despite what many will I am not an expert, I am a lover of vehicles, Leather Wrapped steering wheels, Fuzzy Dice, and wide rear tires. Muscle cars are above all an attitude that is set forth by the drivers, they are made to do one thing go fast, they are built here, and they are most defiantely raced here. You have to realize that American cars have close to 30 years worth of stigmas to get rid of, and can only be respected once they are lifted.
For those of you who would like to learn more. I invite you to come to New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada next June, and visit me at Mopar Fest, Canadas if not the Worlds largest gathering, of <cough><cough> American Muscle.
