The 1.35 update will be released in late Spring and is a feature-packed update, that Pavel doesn't want to over-promise and under-deliver. It will contain "some nice additions" for the game. This update will also be the first stage towards the transition to DX11. This means that a lot of legacy code can be dropped, which could lead to DX12, Vulcan and console versions of the game.

Thanks for the info! I'm not sure it would be financially worthwhile for them to release on consoles but I sure would like it. I was a PC gamer in a past life and just prefer the ease and laziness of console play now.
