yes, the series needs mo Techno!! *dit dit dit DUTZ DUTZ DUTZ!

i'd rather see the EU version with some trance anthems... imo rock music is best suited for harleys and whatnot... but the fake tuning/rap culture created by Fast&Furious and later adopted by NFSU is still the lamest thing around :yuck:

DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF!

GTP Forums dance party!

Get on down!

I'll say it before and i'll say it again, the American soundtrack list sucks major arse barring a few tracks.

And that guy above me. Best, member, ever.

While I would prefer the soundtrack to remain the same in all versions (though, that seems unlikely for the US version), I couldn't agree more about Trance in the European version. Besides, Trance IS more popular in Europe than in the US...

Still, I will be just as happy as long as we keep the songs from the Japanese version (see Concept and Prologue). But, please, anything but those songs from the US tracklist. I beg of you, SCEE.

I hated the fact that the American version of GT3 got Snoop Dogg and Lenny Kravitz
......

Are you kidding me? I hate Snoop Dogg. I don't mind hip hop, but I think Snoop Dogg is garbage. I swear, if "Drop It Like Its Hot" makes it to GT4, I'd be convinced that whoever picks the music for the game is a complete moron.

Lenny Kravitz is cool though, sucks that Europe didn't get to hear him in GT3.

Snoop Dogg isn't all that bad and yeah I'll be happy if it's not country music that I have to drive to :)

true, I'd be happy with Snoop over country music any day, but he's definitely never gonna be my favorite artist... ever

Generic drift music belongs in generic drift games *shrug*.

There is absolutly no point in arguing about it....music is something of complete opinion...i my self can't stand snoop dogg, dr.dre, ludacris, chingy or any of these pop-rap artist...i can't stanmd rap it's self...thats me though I am sure there people out there who love their music. Personally i want alot more rock in there and am more than happy with the soundtrack shown earlier in the thread, wouldnt mind some electronica but still favour rock more than anything. Again, music is all opinion, no poin agruing about it or stating something is crap.

let's see... i want:
- Yahel
- Astral Projection
- Brian Transeau
- Paul van Dyk
- Tiësto
- Ferry Corsten
- Oceanlab
- Andain etc.
basically it's all good as long as crap like Groove Coverage is kept out ;)

Well, I'd like more known artists, less of these garage bands they like to put in GT's soundtrack (probably going as a Japan tread or to save money) like rap artists, rock artists and so on. But I started to play without music a while ago and I love it so I'll probably listen to the tunes a couple of times and turn it off not long after.

See ya :sly:

The music won't be an issue for me, since I always turn it off. Thank god for the option. I also turn off all sfx (I don't need bleeping and blooping sounds when I'm just moving around the game) except for in-race sfx. Then I want to hear every sound those beautiful engines make.

wow, i was starting to get worried here after reading all the other comments, how the hell can people concentrate while listening to music? it's one thing to listen to music while crusing, quite another to do it while pushing the car to it's limits, music should be turned off by default in the GT series, heck, i rarely even listen to it in replays... let alone while in game.

I think someone mentioned hearing the car sounds more than the music. One negative to GT3 was that you couldn't adjust the volume levels of the music and sounds. All you could do was turn it on or off. Since I didn't care for GT2's music, I turned the music all the way down to one bar. I kind of liked the music themes for the "cities" with maybe West City with the best music. And besides, even if you don't like racing with music on, you can always listen to the music outside of the game as we'll get a Music Player. This "Music Player" deal may be reminiscent of the Music Player from the Ridge Racer series. If you remember playing any Ridge Racer game, you may remember the Music Player option. You have a demo race go on while you select the tunes you want to listen to. I don't know if GT4 will have this deal, so that remains to be seen.

This isn't about "should we care about music in GT4?" Instead, I think that we'll get whatever kind of music PD thinks us Americans either want us to listen to or choose songs at random. Hell, I sure don't want to listen to any crap like Musicspace.com or Razor and Tie come up with- old, almost forgotten fruity songs (for example, anything of Salt 'n Pepper, Vanilla Ice, Techtronic, Village People, or anything like that. Ever seen a commerical with these sponsors in it, disregard).

Other than that, I'd like some more electronica because that's the music I like and what kind of exudes rhythm and youthfulness. Just the right rock tune makes for some great racing as well. I just don't know too many. And if tunes were uncensored in GT4 (not going to happen obviously), here would be my pick:

Ludacris - Move B****

Who's next?
