The 500PP clubman cup is limited to 600PP cars :p is this a glitch or is it intended?

EDIT: we need a sub forum for GT6 glitches! :D

no its intended (for the less skilled) Its a bit stupid really, they might as well call it the 500pp but you may have more cup. WHAT IS THE POINT

im not sure about that. the other races dont have this so why just this one??

all the ai cars are 500pp so why should the human have more???
Because PD has said they want even the most unskilled players to be able to have fun. Someone who doesn't play racing games and only has a controller might need 550-600pp to have any chance at winning/enjoying. I'm not saying this point of view is logical or good for the series, but that's an underlying influence on a lot of their decisions. The experienced GT player knows to go under by 50-100pp, the nooooooooob may need 50-100pp over.

the noooooooobs should get a "racing" game that is easier for them,aa child would not race an f1 because its too hard, same thing here

Wouldn't it have been a better solution to provide "beginner, intermediate, advanced" difficulty options but retain the PP?

Its just how PD rolls. Like the euro hot hatch series where the ai use hot hatches but you just need to show up in anything euro.

So you as a better player would be willing to pay 2-3 times as much so that PD could cater to you? They would need to charfe more due to a much smaller customer base. The idea of a sliding difficulty scale would work much more practically

I used 475 PP car for this race and I couldn't catch the 1st AI before they start slowing down for me. Their top speed is just way above mine..

It seems to be common through a lot of races, I couldn't understand the point to begin with but then, when you consider the tutorial at the beginning, it is clear that PD are trying to get new players to the GT series, even if it does annoy those more experienced. I agree that there should be a difficulty scale of, say, beginner, experienced and Extreme or something....of course, the problem with that is that PD would have to revamp the AI to cater for the differing difficulty levels and we know that they are obsessively against ever making the AI half decent. Am expecting even more of this "we are going to treat you like you have never looked at a car before" tutoring and difficulty in GT7, much like a lot of other games
