EventIt's starting to set in. I can't believe I leave for college in a week. I thought I had more time, but seeing as how this last week flew by, I will be packing up my stuff and heading down to Champaign, Illinois to attend the University of Illinois in no time. I'm excited, but at the same time I am scared. It's my first taste of living on my own. I'm rooming with a buddy, but it's not the same.
Anybody have any words of advice to give me? Any fun college stories to share?
Ev0EDIT: At Queen's University (in Kingston, Ontario), they only get 1gb per month. I'm not sure what the limit is at U Ottawa.
MrktMkr1986That was fun.Thank goodness it happened AFTER I dropped that girl off at her house.
BlazinXtremeCollege is a blast, it is sooo much better then high school since its more relaxed and I found it to be less stressfull.

For advice:
- Look for scholarships, they will help you out and you can find a million of them. Every penny helps since college gets pricey real quick.
- Don't party right away, you will get suckered into things you don't want to do. The costs are to high now adays.
- Join clubs to meet people, best way I found to met new people.
- Have fun, you are coming into the working time, try to have some fun while it lasts.

BlazinXtremeYou didn't join any clubs, man you should. I'm part of the racing team we have on campus and a member of the college Republicans. Both have a great group of people with them. Also I'm in a gold league through the school (on our school's golf course). We have soooo much fun and I've met a ton of people that I know I'll be friends with throughout life.
Maybe they'll have a Swedish Car Club!MrktMkr1986That's excellent. Definitely this year I will join at least one club.

That's actually the first time I've heard that one!Touring MarsGood luck on your student career, Event... time to crack open the Champaign? (like you never heard that one a zillion times already)
Lucky for you, congrats man. My first choice in college would have cost me $44,500 a year! (without help, but still, thats a ****load of money). Since I don't know what I'm doing yet, I'm taking the cheap way out the first year and I'm gonna live at home 👎 , but once i decide a career, I'm not going cheap with school, because I know it'll be worth it. Again, congratulations to us, class of 2005, and i hope you have a blastEventI don't plan on it. My grandma is paying for almost half of it, and the rest is being paid for by student loans and a $4,500 grant... I was really realy close to not being able to afford to go...
