GRogall, we haven’t heard from you in a while…what became of your promised images of Le mans in GT4?

So they reckon it will take three months to translate and test GT4 into 13 languages?
Let's hope then that they will have something interesting to translate.

Now I expect an explanation of most cars they've included : in which race/championship it competed, and why the weight of the Panoz and Lister race cars is so high.

I think it's unfair to blame PD (totally at least) for the delay, if it is indeed solely for translation time. It is surely the responsibility of the publisher to pressure the Dev team to add multi-language content, and is therefore their responsibility to provide the resources. i.e. translators working for Sony do the hard work and PD just implement the translated info/ etc so that they can continue with content...

It is after all, more the wish of Sony than PD to have GT4 realeased all over the globe...
I bet KY would be satisfied if it was a Japan only realease, it would save him hassle, surely.

I just hope that we get summet extra for our added patience

They could deffo add a lot of content in four months.......

Do something about it?

Sure. if the us version gets released 2 weeks earlier than the uk one i`ll def buy a pirated one to play the game a month before it`s released here then. This game has been delayed alot of times and i`m quite frankly getting kind of annoyed even tho it would mean the game will be better or include more cars. I`m not a very patient person and this really got me worked up a bit along with the fact that juiced has also been delayed. I will buy the platinum edition of gt4 if that`s sony`s attitude towards uk citizens

Indeed, what ever happened GRogall? Still waiting to see what you promised to post a few weeks back.

"""Sorry to sway from the topic of the thread""""

If they don't want a legion of pissed off fans, they shouldnt have announced release dates in the first place.

They should have kept their dignity and just stuck to "we'll be done when we're done" philosophy that other game companies use. Then they don't have to work within a set time frame and the fans dont get all pissy when they break their promises multiple times (and then come up with ridiculous excuses).

And if they give bull**** about equal rights in the European countries, and that every person deserves the game at the same time, why are America and Japan getting the game that early then?

Because they feel sorry for us after shafting us out of GTP.

I don't know if this was already said but I for sure don't want the game rushed like GT2 or GT3 was.(i forgot which one) The more time they spend reading E-mails...The less they spend on game development...Besides...It's not like we are going to make a big difference.

I mean yeah it sucks that the US didn't get GTC or GTP, but c'mon GT4 is far more important. I enjoyed GTC I admit but GTP wasn't that special in my opinion, all it achieved was making you want GT4 even more (PDs idea in the first place ontop of making piles of cash). So for us the wait may actually be far worse! I also doubt they released GTP in Europe just cause we demanded it :p if that was the case the US would've had GTC and/or GTP. At the end of the day PD is a pawn in the big evil Sony Corporation. I'm still all for forming an angry mob myself ;)

Hi, first-time poster here but I felt the need to chime in on this one. I don't know how many of you (particularly in the UK) have thought of this, but a delay in the PAL version release effects more than just Europe.

A quick Google shows that there are 44 NTSC-based countries compared to 111 PAL-based countries. This might help explain the translation issues. But still, why not release an English PAL version at the same time as the Japan and US NTSC versions and let those who want a localized version wait, rather than alienating the entire PAL-based English-speaking world!

And for me, living in the PAL world, I think having to read all about GT4 on US websites without being able to play it will be more painful than delaying the game worldwide.

Ack! *grumble* :grumpy:

111? blimey. Still PAL does provide a better picture quality, although for gaming NTSC is probably better due to better refresh rate (Particually racing games).

And yeah reading GTP when everyone else has GT4, would be awful especially after waiting for so long & the 'promise' of a worldwide simultaneous release... They couldn't even manage a small delay

I know it's been bad enough reading about people play GTA:SA for the last three days, not sure I could take three months... :scared:
