Cheers guys, yes the key functions the X or enter button. It's not clear on the photo but theres a handbrake too! also no cat but two big hairy dogs!!

Also got this video of my mate playing on it with some borrowed PS3's and TV's massive multi screen! was just for a weekend and then everyone wanted there stuff back!!

By the way how does button boxes / handbrakes work with T500RS?

Can u simply make a button box, lets say from gamepad controller etc and plug it on to pc and it will work? Have to ask since i had G27 previously which had the handbrake mod on the shifter etc...just wondering how it goes with t500

You can, and I tried destroyed two pads in the process! bit too technical for me!

The handbrake wires straight into the button box as the circle button on the pad. The box plugs straight in vie USB PS3/Windows/Mac compatible works great.

Next for me is a decent gaming PC for iRacing and flexibility with mods. Love the speed dial, and the buttkicker on the peddle set is a great idea.

I have a DSD button box which I've tweaked a little. I wanted a Key switch and as luck would have it this one fit perfectly and cost a whopping $3. lol

On GT5 when you select a car from your garage the engine starts so if I remember to use it I can turn the key to select the car and the engine starts.

Although I normally forget and hit the X on the steering wheel! The other advantage with the button box is that I can use a custom wheel or attach a real wheel using Derek Speare's wheel adapter: http://www.derekspearedesigns.com/Wheel-Adapters.html and still have all the buttons!
