I fairly think that we really don't care what YOU like or not, really. You're not the center of Earth so please don't influence other drivers with what YOU like and what YOU don't.

You're a steward and your job is to show the example, for all others. On that way, you are not.

Just my thoughts

Well he was responding to me and agreeing after me saying in bold letters, MY opinion. And it may not be like that to YOU(also bolded). You can't just go off on someone for something you could have read wrong. But then again, all this racing stuff. It's just a game where we simulate racing, nothing to get mad over or argue. All in good fun.👍

Yeah. I'm getting tired of all of the non-racing arguing. Just forget it. I'm not entitled to the expression of my opinions, because they conflict. So, I won't post opinions.

Of course you can post your opinions, I never said that you shouldn't do it.
What I meant is that your arguments for such and such track are based in your interest and not for the track itself.
And sorry for my previous post, maybe I was a bit harsh on it, I assume. Maybe this is my language barrier which doesn't allow me to find the right words for not offend you.

EDIT: And if we have to vote, I'm up for any track, as long as we respect the GTP OLR.

You know that I speak fluent French, Litchi. Please, if you feel like that again, feel free to PM me.

And, I enjoy Tokyo R246 more than Laguna Seca. Tokyo, in my opinion, is much better. It's got a magical flow. I find my flow there really nicely. I know my turn-in points really well, so it's a fun-to-drive course.

That's why I enjoy it more. Laguna Seca doesn't seem to flow that well.

I feel the same way with Road Atlanta; it's a beautiful track. VIR, beautiful track...

But, the long straights on Laguna Seca, separating the corners like that, it reduces my feel of the flow. I love corners that keep going. Straightaways are for chassis manufacturers. Corners are for drivers. Sorry, if you thought that I was trying to do myself a favour, by putting a word in for Tokyo over Deep Forest (a good track that causes crashes) and Laguna Seca (a track that I find a small bit boring.)

My favourite tracks, by contrast, are: Pau, Macau, Porto, Trois-Rivieres, Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio, VIR, and Road Atlanta. I like the number of corners, and the way they flow together.

First, sorry for what I said about you, Mel, that wasn't meant to upset you, I just felt sorry for Braun... Second, it's very weird, I personally find Tokyo very unpleasant to drive on and I like Seca much more. :D

Well jeez I could partly agree with mel on Tokyo R-246 but not on Laguna. Laguna has a certain challenge behind it that I love.

Tokyo R246 does have some risky corners that require certain bravery to accomplish in a favorable manner, especially with a S*** ton of cars on the track. Deep forest was good but with that shortcut on turn 4 I don't think so. If Spa wasn't a DLC track I would love it to be there because Spa. But since I doubt that everyone of our drivers has all of the DLC I don't think so. Cote d' Azur would be cool. I enjoy this track alot.

First, sorry for what I said about you, Mel, that wasn't meant to upset you, I just felt sorry for Braun... Second, it's very weird, I personally find Tokyo very unpleasant to drive on and I like Seca much more. :D

Braun's upset about ITCC. His conduct isn't new, and isn't improved. You certainly have every reason to feel sorry for Braun, until you realize that he receives what he gives. If he were a cleaner driver, and focused on running cleaner laps... He would be more competitive. Litchi, Flaky, Jammy, you and I (the guys who seem to do well) all do our best to avoid contact, because it will slow you down and get you penalized.

But, anyways, you can feel sorry for braun, if you want, or you can just treat him like one of the guys who's likely to spin you... Just try to keep it clean, at least, at Laguna Seca. It takes like six or seven corners to get that sand off of your tires... It's not worth getting sand on your tires, let alone a penalty.

I was a witness on Braun vs. Mel incident on Race 2 and I must say that Mel pulled of a cheap shot taking out Braun 👎, especially when he wasn't explicitly attacking your car.

I'm not trying to attack you braun, because I don't know you well and maybe I've just had a few bad encounters with you, but I'd like to give you a little bit of constructive criticism. Try to be more situationally aware. Especially follow the gentlemen's rule of racing, which is: if someone is making a pass on you and they get their nose to your door panel, you give them room on the track. That really the only problem with your racing; you're a bit too aggressive and if someone tries to pass you, you take up the entire track even if their in mid-pass.

I hope these words come well to you, as they contain no animosity or wrath. Just from one fellow racer to another. :)

Final chance guys, take it to the PM's or you won't be at next race. Those that continue the ongoing argument on the thread will receive a one-race ban.

Just had to get something off my chest Morten that's all.

Had a look at the incident involving Mel, Sparky and Braun. This is what I see:

Coming towards the double-left, Braun slips wide and loses time, speed and track position. Mel, just behind, keeps the car more stabile and moves up his inside. However, he's going too fast to clear the corner without hitting the wall. You can argue that the response (braking) was too late and Braun failed to respond to the braking, but from my replay this looks mostly like a race accident. The race ban for poor off-track behaviour however is still enforced, and another PM/VM like that will make it permanent and reported.

Have a look for yourself

Also just had the drive at LS: it looks like a 10,13. Word of advise, don't attempt an overtaking in the corners around the corkscrew: these are simply too fast for it to make sense

Yeah whatever. Good thing I was behind and not involved at all. Mel still could have atleast gave him a little more track space to recover. But if it's a race incident it's a race incident.

Laguna should pose a challenge next friday. but the competition will be closer (and more violent :() due to the new tyre rule. I'm looking to race a little karts online later on.

What times are you guys getting? I'm getting high 1:29's low 1:30's so flaky will get consistent 1:28's I'm guessing.

The mods are like Santa Claus. He's been here but you don't notice until his work's done.

Dunno anyway.

Nice standing table. Still missing Deep Forest result though.

I know, I just hasn't got around to editing it out yet (with all the problems connected it was decided, yet again without objections I might add, to not count DF to the championship and instead find another track for the finale)

Edit: I'd actually like to know, was the posts deleted because these drafted too offtopic or was there another reason?

So same ballast at Laguna as was at Deep Forest?

Lots of swearing by Braun. Very vulgar phrases and words directed at Mel. I can inbox you if you want.

Guys I've got bad news. Since Friday class will become more annoying than ever and I'm trying to solve an issue with my GT5 graphics (Lot's of pop-up on certain tracks). I will quit this championship and return for season 2 which is supposedly on Saturdays.

Sad to hear Sparky, but I guess that means see you next Season :)

Shoe, yes please, I just though it would be interesting to hear a mods version :) btw Braun's retired completely due to a one-race ban he could've avoided by reading the last post.

*resisting urges and temptations to dance* :sly:

Anyways, sorry to see you go, Sparky.

But, who said anything about Saturdays? Count me out of Season II if it's on Saturdays.

👍

All I've said so far is Saturday's a possibility, date will likely be decided by a poll as this was. But it's not even certain there'll be a Season 2, my head's exploding of ideas that may or may not end succesful. Let me say that if I, looking back at the end of this season, thinks it's turned out to be good after all, Season 2 will happen. If not, it's just another one to add to the bunch of "I tried", except this one will be "I tried and finished"

Btw what's the "reason 5" thing all about Mel?

Btw what's the "reason 5" thing all about Mel?

The BGM Menu Music in GT5 was made on Reason 5. I can upload a video showing you proof. :sly: I originally planned on doing that, and posting the link, but the dubstep thread (and therefore any other relevance to Reason 5) has gone to the dark side of GTP.
