Trying desperately
Also people, remember it's only the first season! It will improve

FlakyPastry's back in with me, and braun now...

Guys, it's been known for a while that I have the best internet here. I was trying to make it easier for Morten to join... -.-

How about we forget this even happened?

Driving standards took a huge hit, today, guys.

And, those pedantic tire rules are horrid... If I hadn't owned up to my mistake, no one would have noticed... It seems cheap, and childish, but in my case, the game didn't put on the Sports Softs when I told it to, before the original lounge closed.

All this championship needs is some new tire regs. (first race ALL SS, next all RH and finally all SS again.) and WAY more strict on cleanliness regualtions. It's rediculous. Why should I be blocked when I obviously caught up to the person, and am almost passing them on each corner, then they proceed to knock me off the course. That happened 3 times today. 3! In 2 races.. Oh and something needs to be done about the start. I got knocked off the track from 1st to 7th in one corner. Why can't we all just keep our own positions on the first corner.

Thanks to YaShoe, Jammy and TheSonRises for the good and fun racing! :)

BTW, I agree with YaShoe, the tyre rule is a bit annoying. The ballast rule is good but not the tyre one...

Haha yea. That was some unbelievebly clean, close racing. I only think we touched once when I bumped you in a draft on the straight.

Stewards reviews under way! Calm down lads, I'll be much more forceful in my decision making. This week, I'm going to PM Morten, before he makes all of the "official calls."

You're fast, for a guy who's got his eyes closed to the other conduct of the other drivers..

Hehe, great attacking by you, Shoe, I had to use my little skills in defensive driving, it was scary to see two angry Clio's equipped with good drivers behind me!

Um, thanks. Just sucks being blocked when you know you faster then someone even when your on better tires then being knocked off course.

Driverman, the post above wasn't directed at you or Jammy, don't worry. But yea, we had some good battles. It was great fun.

From this very moment, the two-tyre rule is dead.

I'd like to once again point out that the only reason there was a cut zone in the first place is due to how difficult it would be to enforce it in that corner.

Just as with WRC back then I'm seriously in doubt about the future, but this will continue. But as I said, as much as I would really want to I need to know what to investigate, it really goes both ways. And if there's something you don't agree on, say it! This was like a graveyard when the cut-zone was up for debate!

Did you drive other races (#2 and #3)?
I vote for same tires to everyone in race. We could still use R1 and S3 but everyone on same tire. To me better choice is if we use only one tire (S3 or R1).

We did race 2 but race 3 was cancelled due to the delay caused :guilty:

Now just left to decide which tyres to use and who's actually still interested. I know we lost aboe, Litchi sadly possibly as well, which leaves a field of 8 full-times if we count Racingworld.

It's all their decision if someone thinks it's not for them, but if it's all about the cuts it's not worse than we can say "OK, having Deep Forest was a mistake, let's say it didn't happen and replace with another track in the end of the season".
So is that what we want to do and if yes what track to replace it with?

No, Deep Forest is great fun, if everyone cuts that corner, everything is fair and fun, isn't it? :)

if yes what track to replace it with?

I don't like Deep Forest, at all.

I'd rather see something more akin to, for example, Tokyo R246; and not just because it's my best track. No, instead, it's because it's a track that seems to allow for passing zones in some strange places, because the racing lines are so diverse and interesting, especially through that long right hander (T4) and the final corner.

My lines through both of those corners are secrets, as always, but certainly are very different from anyone else's lines. It gives me great passing opportunities. It's like Madrid, but, Madrid is already there.

If not:

Indy road course
Daytona Road course
Tsukuba (given a long talk about divebombing)
Monaco (reminding everyone that the smartest passes are the ones that you don't need to make, that are "given" to you, without penalty)
Cape Ring South

I only have two or three things to say about how to maybe move forward with the series.

1) Cleanliness: The ability of drivers in this field is pretty high, so it doesnt make sense why there is so much contact. I think we need to be more strict about the penalties handed out for avoidable contact and we all might need to settle down and be a tad more patient during our races. One thing that might help might be to adjust race length a bit longer and maybe only have two races. This will give people more time to make positions without feeling like its a sprint race where you have to gain 5 spots in T1.

2)Out of Bounds: I didn't think this was going to be much of a problem, but at Deep Forest, it always seems to be. In hindsight, it might have been better to have chosen to not allow running the concrete, and we all would have obeyed. As for myself, I didn't care one way or the other, as long as I know beforehand whether or not it's allowed. As long as everyone can or cannot run it, it's fair.

3)Tire Regs: I enjoyed the strategy of the tire rules a lot, but there was one strategy that seemed to out-perform the other, so in that respect, it isn't too feasible to run. If we do choose a single tire type, I would vote for Sport Softs since they actually require driving skill at low speeds where you can't just mash and go. The car is just a bit more lively.

Uhhhh, I can't really remember much else, but other than those few points, this series is a lot of fun. I love these cars, and hope this sticks around!

If we do choose a single tire type, I would vote for Sport Softs !

What I was thinking was do both, just you don't choose when. So for example, Race 1 would always be run with Sport Softs, and Race 2 with Racing Hards.

Well, looks like we're having, in my opinion, one of the worst tracks in existance next. Plenty will disagree, but then again, plenty will agree. Better start prepping now. Hopefully I can show.

Stahp thumbing everything I post up... I'm in a lounge driving Laguna if anyone wants to practice.. Add Ya-Shoe:tup:

Or just join.

And, 👍, because I've agreed with everything you've said so far.

Laguna Seca is a horrid excuse for a track. I can't drive on sand.
