I see this is a common problem.
Are there any proper fixes or solutions yet?
Thanks
It's ruining my game as I too often can't get into the rooms I want to.

I've not had the problem myself so no experience with it but there's a section in the manual about opening the ports for the game/console:

http://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gt6/manual/#!/onlinerace/portfowarding

You could also try changing the PS3 to DMZ so your router doesn't block any traffic going to the console:

http://community.eu.playstation.com...-put-your-PS3-or-PS4-into-a-DMZ/td-p/10655314

Sorry I can't help more as my own router confuses the hell out of me. It just works so I don't mess with it. The links might help out though.

Thanks for your suggestion
I already saw that and it confused the hell out of me too.
I'd probably lose my internet connection altogether if I started messing with that stuff.
We don't need to do all this hacking when using the pc internet, why do we have to when using ps3?
Must be a pretty lame set up.

No. Firewalls are the issue so you have to either disable them (safely) or organise it so the PS has uninhibited communication with the net.

So by putting your PS3/4 into the router's DMZ it will then see everything and everything will see it.

Also the PS must be hard wired, do not use Wi-Fi as it can/may cause lag issues.

Then all you need is for everyone else in the lobby to have done exactly the same things and to have a stable internet connection, with low latency and Bob's your uncle you will still get DCed and some lobby members not seeing each other :-( But it wont happen as much.

Thanks, I managed to follow the DMZ guide.
Now the Psn is very bad today apparently with many people being disconnected, so I'm not able to properly test if my situation is any better.

So, first I need a DMZ... oookay.. done that, but now the psn network isn't working properly anyway.. well gee, I thought this was supposed to just work !?

I've been on the game for the last couple of hours and haven't had a problem (no issues for the last couple of weeks actually) but I suppose it could be a local problem to you.

Have you checked your internet connection to see if it has high jitter/latency, and/or packet loss? You could check it at pingtest.net.

I googles it and it seems it was a big problem yesterday, even the members I was online with in the GT6 lobby were saying the same thing.

It seems better now though.
Hopefully I can have more uninterrupted races now at last.
