Hi,

I'm using the controller to play this game, I heard about motion something something but I'm traditionell and wants to use the stick for steering. But I'm having a bit of problem where I feel my thumb just not got enough grip so it skids on the stick.

Are there any good addons for this problem?

Excuse my lack of knowledge, scuff?
Scuff sell overpriced customized DS4s.
What you want is a rubber cap for your analogue sticks. There are countless out there. Over the years I bought like 50, and had the best experience with KontrolFreeks. Look them up, they come in many varieties.
I'd start with a pair of rubber caps. If after a couple of weeks you still feel at a disadvantage, you can always look into buying another controller (Scuff, Razer, Nacon, Elite)

Try some silicone skins. You can find them on amazon. Some of them come with dimpled / ridge skins to put over the sticks and they work well.

I use KontrolFreek stick extenders after someone on here recommended them. They are a bit pricey for what they are, but they do enable finer control.

EDIT: ^yep, they're the ones. I have Ultra.

They made this controller for the ps3. I never tried one but it does look like it would give better fine steering and better throttle control. Anyone ever try it, or know if it works for ps4? I do know that is it hardwired not wireless.

I personally dont use these, i have no problem with controller grip as i dont usually get nervous when playing games to get sweaty palms.

if thats what is happening to you, get the rubber grip covers.
Yes I noticed today when playing the stage 6 level 8 mission that after like 15 minutes, I tend to build up some sweat so that's probably the reason for lost grip

Kontrol Freeks. They are overpriced for what they are but a bargain for what they do. Although I really recommend you at least do a few laps with motion control to try it.

I use the same KFs for FPS as I do for racing and they are great.

From reading the above comments about thumbsticks I decided to give it a go. Instead of shelling out lots and lots of pennies, I took a HDD shock mount grommet and some paper masking tape and went to work.

It works surprisingly well :)

I had one, I don't know if I still have it though. I don't remember it drastically making a difference although it did allow for better throttle control.

THe only thing I have on my controller is the KontrolFreaks joystick extenders, however since moving to motion steering I'm really liking that at the moment. However intrigued on the trigger extenders. How well do they work? Also do they stay on, I brought a pair of different extenders for the DS3 several years back but ended up having to superglue them on as they keep coming off.

Would not recommend SCUF controllers. They work great until they don't and there is zero customer service. I was stupid enough to go thru 2 of them before I gave up.

I play atm with the Nacon.

For me is this one better then a stock DS4.

Interesting, but how do they "make rubber banding more secure"?
They are much longer, twice as long, have more surface area,

and have more of a hook.

@gherkin there is a bit of a trick to getting them on, search YouTube for that procedure. They are pretty tight. They haven’t come off once during gameplay. But, they have popped off after the controller was knocked off the arm of my chair. Putting them on is a bit of a pain in the rear! Nowhere near as easy as the DS3 trigger extenders.

What's the point of the rubber bands, wouldn't more resistance be better than less when accelerating, to give more control?

how you feel it? i need a good pad to avoid problems in and out of the corners. and something to help me with TCS=0

thanks for your reply

First sorry for my bad english.

Nacon is a very good joypad. They have bigger L2 and R2 they also have a better feeling then the original DS4. Same for the sticks bigger and bigger rotation (like a steering wheel)

The Nacon you can also customize( button pressure sticks rotation and more on your PC)
Also the response is also very good.
You can race good with TC 0.

Best regards

Were those both Scuff Impact or Scuff Infinity 4PS controllers? I've heard some people complain about reliability of the former, but not of the latter (which are just modded Sony controllers)...
