Hey guys, I just got my PS3 today and I wanted to know wich demos are good. Right now Im downloading Resistance: Fall of Man and I will download the Turok demo later tonight.

Any other good demos?

Call Of Duty 4 is currently the top online game on PS3. You may also try the newest Devil May Cry 4.

And on topic, The Club demo is fun. Too bad the only playable character is one of the slowest characters. I bet online will be fun. Oh, and the demo is pretty huge, 1.7GB. Compare that to Super Mario World for SNES which was all of ~500KB!!

I plan to buy COD4 as my first PS3 game.
The game is outstanding.
 
Skate demo is more like a tutorial of how to use its unique control system, and there are time limits to perform each trick which is a bit annoying, the graphics and physics are really nice though.

No, there's no time limit to the tricks. You cannot advance until you do the trick properly. There's a set of basic tricks like heel kick flips, ollies, suvits and grinds that you must learn before free skating around. Then, you can choose to go up to a pro skater like P. Rod or Jason Dill who teach you advanced tricks like nollies and manuals.

There is a time limit during the contest, though. You need to attack three areas with a combo of tricks to score more points than the other three contestants. Once that is over, and all pros are gone, you can free skate the rest of the time. Though, the demo ends after a while.

My highest point score was 15,615 in the demo. See if you can beat that. :D

This is really different to tony hawk though, I found it damn frustrating because even a grind takes effort to setup and execute!

haha jeasus, i just played till the demo kicked me off, I got pretty good toward the end. Not even trying to get combo's.. Too much reward in getting single tricks that its not worth going for combo's.. The Grinding took awhile to get used too, although i REALLY LIKE THIS GAME, because like you said Robin, its NOT a tony hawk game, and it actually requires some skill...

I have a Japan account created but no luck on how to find it. I found GTP download but that is for the paid version.

Turok is pretty fun. I am not sure if I would be the game though. My son loves it but I am so so on it. Not to sure if I want to pay 50 bucks for it.
 
I positively hated Turok, I thought it really sucked.
Bad graphics, animations are pitiful, and gameplay is nothing to brag about.

Juiced 2 is also a POS.

PES2008 is also a POS.

AREA51 is also a POS.

I liked Burnout and NFS demos, both pretty cool.
And GRAW2 is quite good actually (though I still find CoD4 best FPS around).

GT5P demo is no longer available. It was removed even before GT5P came out in Japan.
 
Anybody playing Conflict: Denied Ops online?

I guess I play too aggressively. People don't want to play more than one game with me. I guess I'm a 'kill hog' or something. I usually score twice or even three times more kills with Graves then they do with Lang when I play. In the demo, when I play as Graves (LMG guy) I score 20+ kills. My fellow online player is lucky if he gets more than 8 kills with Lang.

What's the rule or online gaming etiquette? Don't be a 'kill hog' or what? People wont play more than one game with me. :grumpy:

Is playing only one game the norm? I figured it would be more than that. Oh, I don't have a mic. Could that be it? Do people with headsets only like to play with others with headsets?

I'm a noob at this so some tips would be helpful. :)
 
Beerz, the animations in Turok were only bad for the humans. The dinos looked and moved wonderfully, IMO. That's about the only good thing about Turok though.

Anyway, NoLimitz80, just PMd you with info on how to get the Prologue demo. Anyone else want it?
