Before the game was released Kaz said they was working on improving the sounds of some of the cars, but didn't know how long it would take before being updated. It should be called 'Gran Turismo 6 Beta' as just like gt5 the final version takes about 2 years with all the patches lol.

Well, that's not optimistic. I like to think that the X2014 trio (and similar) are what we can expect for new sounds. But, that's no where near official.

Kaz said they are working on a breakthrough and basically they'll try and get it into GT6 at some point, but he's not promising anything.

This hasnt do with sound but couldn't find anywhere put it. I just thinking last night that the 12 is when some seasonal race are up usually we get updates when that happans. Hopefully Tuesday will be least decent update and im just saying I don't know for sure but looks that way.

The PD guy who answered the three questions on Facebook said the sounds would improve as the hardware improves. Seeing as the PS3 hardware isn't going to be improving his comment probably indicated that sounds wouldn't improve until GT7 on PS4.

Kinda makes no sense, since Criterion Games were able to Naill the sounds on NFS HP, and NFS MW. Those games were massive to.

The 2014 fan car sounds like the X2011 cars to me, but the standard car sounds like mix between the 2014 F1 cars and the X2014 fan car.

Some cars have the same sound since gt4, cars sounds its not about hardware, maybe the world sound is, but car sounds can be improved, just take a look on gta v, some cars have an excellent sound. And i think the best car sound on gt6 is from the Red Bull Junior.

About the Red Bull Cars I dont like the Sound ...no Backfire Sound ...But yes GTA 5 has better sound and good backfire sound

the ps3 hardware has very little do with the fact that they are obviously generic sound clips .... the excuse is that they dont have the time or money ? for example to acquire a real gt500 and record the real v8 monster that it has :3 ... and of course all the other many many cars. hehe


this is the only thing that bothers me about this game. its a minor thing but i wish that they decide to do something about the sound reality , at least to "premium" cars.


the only reason i want to drive a shelby instead of my GT would because of that supercharger whine you can hear a mile away. the sound of shredding tires instead of (squealing tires) ... as i power slide through a corner at 110 mph

I was trying tell u guys it's my guess because that's when couple seasonal races are over. Usually when that happans there some kinda update and I wasn't trying get anyone excited about the update or if there be one. If I was a beting man I bet there some kinda update coming ater those couple races seasonal are over. It might be just remove them and add new ones or hopefully more and prolly doubt be something make everyone happy.

I'm not being rude, but you're stupidly optimistic about this. Nothing has even been fully confirmed about sound updates in future, let alone a surprise random update that will add them. It isn't happening.

I have Turtle Beach Ear Force P11's and on some cars, I get a pop when downshifting with paddles. Usually muscle cars, or anything with more than a V6.

its a pd family tradition to have bad sounds...there are a couple decent sounding cars, so why not just copy the same sound to like 300 different cars?
