Any Non-Dupers out there?

Just wondering if anyone else is out there like me, just to enjoy the ride?

I don't dupe or trade, simply because i love the thrill of finding new cars, earning them the traditional way.

I don't however hold a grudge or mind if other people dupe. I race with the same people all the time that are hardcore dupers (some of them) I just don't feel the need.


So all you non-dupers out there, what's your specs?

A - 27
B - 15

Premium Cars 44
Standard Cars 75
 
No dupe, glitch or trade or anything.

A-spec: 39
B-spec: 38

Standards: around 800
Premiums: around 80
 
I dont trade or dupe. It seems like too much of a hassle when I could be driving.
I have around 60+ cars.

I'm with them, I have 371 cars in total, I have gotten about 2 cars from trading, I don't really like doing it. But I have never cheated on a GT game, and never will.

Collecting used cars right now like a maniac, but they take forever to appear and actually having the money for them is also a problem because often it is the case that two or three over 3+mil cars appear at the same time.

Wish I could collect as many cars, I always have around 15,000,000Cr, I don't buy stuff more than 2,000,000, if I do I feel I must grind Indy to recover my money spent :scared:!

I use the rubber-band trick, A-spec grinding without touching the pad and getting a lot of cash.
But really, EVEN with this trick, the money gaining is WAY too slow to really buy all cars, I have left: 2*20mil, 1*15mil, 1*12.5 mil and 1*10 mil cars to buy, AFTER I bought all the used cars, so, thre is still way too much grinding awaiting me.

Yeah right now I only buy stuff I'll use online for race nights with the group I race with.. But that happens a lot.. you get either a UCD full of GTRs or you get a few cars you want, but can't afford them all.. oh well. Thats part of the fun

I also tend to be buying a lot of cars that I would want in real life.. but could never afford.

I've done 2 trades for 3 cars, but aside from that I've gotten everything else on my own. (Those cars were the TMS GTR Proto and two Stealths)

hmmm...

well i do trade, and i don't really consider myself a "duper", but i guess i probably am.

what i mean is, when i trade a car, after i send the car out to the person i am trading with, i then restore the save and thus i still have the car i sent, as well as the one i got for trade.

since i don't use the cars for beating the game, but purely for racing online and the fun of having some great cars, i don't feel like i am "cheating", though to some i suppose i am doing so. i mean, to expect me to grind over and over and over again on races i have beaten, fairly, (95% game completion) in order to accumulate enough wealth in the game to purchase an expensive car is ridiculous to me and poor game design. if there were another way to accumulate wealth that did not require this kind of mindless repetition i would be glad to do that instead, but no such option exists. while the seasonal races are great and i do them, they do not really allow for enough credit to be earned to sustain a collection of rare/expensive cars.

i suppose if i had more free time in my life to grind races over and over perhaps i would not be trading as i have.

i think i have around 150 cars, and of those i traded for maybe 20 of them, the rest were earned/purchased in the normal fashion. i don't see my self getting too many more as i have the ones i really like already, like most of the rare/expensive ones and great race cars. i don't need 25 different kinds of Skyline in my garage.

I play traditionally, so no duplication of cars, no trading just to get the X2010, or any of that.

I got the game on Christmas Day.

I'm trying to lengthen the game by just driving the cars I have now, tuning/upgrading them, using different cars to beat the A-spec/B-spec races I've done already, and trying them against others randomly online.

I am just trying to enjoy the driving part of the game, not trying to beat it. I keep hearing how online is a blast, when you have friends and can race with them, and avoid all the idiots who think this game is a new Need For Speed or something. But I don't have any friends who own a PS3, or any PSN friends who play GT5, plus my schedule is different every day so it would be hard to schedule a day or time to race with any friends I might meet. Plus I don't always feel like playing online. I mainly prefer playing on my own. Whenever I do play online, I try my best to race cleanly, and not bump/hit other racers, but what are you supposed to do when there's like 5 cars going around a turn at the same time, on a course like the Nurb? It's pretty much inevitable that you will at least bump someone.....

Well, it's not going to be a formal complain, but there's going to be enough of flame war in this thread for it to get closed down, sooner or later ;)
 
Only traded once for an x1 for bspec. Gifted it to a friend after I reached lvl 35 and got another.

I don't trade and I don't dupe. Trading is essentially participating in duping these days because 99% of the cars on there are duped, glitched or otherwise hacked. "ZOMG I HAVE 13 ZERO MILES XJ13 RACE CARS TO TRADE!!!11!".:rolleyes:
