lol did a B race…nah not my style of racing to be honest.

I get clumsy, we are all that but getting rear ended every corner when my QT is nearly a second better, just nope, excuses don’t cut it when you can’t brake better and be more aware. Push to passholes when they aren’t even that quick.

Tried out the Daily Race A on sport mode and it was mighty fun, almost miami vicing around a Japanese track was too fun and manged a good result. The Rossa ia bith weighty and it shiftin transfer cna be tricky, but stay consistent it does go well. 2nd place podium, so i was well chuffed!! Maybe try it some more to improve before wednesday to enter at a higher rank for the World series races.

I will say for those struggling with the supposed understeer of that car in Daily A, if you get completely off the throttle and brakes it turns on a dime. Checked a replay where I kept passing everyone at T2, they were trying to turn with the brakes on heavy. I braked a touch earlier, lifted off and tried to ease on the gas to steady it on the way through. I could turn so much easier, same with the hairpin.

And consistency is key there. I kept getting p3 no matter where I started (was always p4 or lower) because half the grid kept pushing it too hard and driving off.

Loving the combo too!

Great photos!

The Testarossa in race A is a lot of fun. Shifting down to 2nd briefly adds a lot of rotation if you want to fight the understeer.

I am quite pleased with my progress. Both in my general pace but also my race craft. While I did not get CRB in any of my 2 races it must have been from minor bumps in both races.

2 races, 2 podiums. One in an A heavy field.

Unfortunately using other drivers as additional guard rails does not get penalized in this race.

Here's this weeks guide! Solid week this week, some more fantastic racing possible!

Great guide as always Tidgney, I'm glad you and your friends are having a blast out there. Of the three tracks selected, which one did you enjoy racing and qualifying on? If I was racing this week, I would have chosen the Willow Springs races. I would have tried to do at least 20 races a day or even 30 if I had the strength.

Starting from an "11.365 at Willow Springs. Yep, actually one of my preferred track of the game. Don't mind if the BM chew the tyres more than the BRZ, I just can't drive the Subaru ; I mean, not fast (by far) as I I'm in the BM.
Didn't see a BRZ win yesterday, so I don't think it's tyre advantage is that great.

The 3 races I did yesterday were won by a Huracan, a GTR, and my BMW.

Firstly it seems true. Watch the great video if you are interested in the gamepad. You'll also see why they used that track.

Secondly, if a wheel would be 1 second faster for the best players, people like calster should get the GTWS trophy for free. ;-)

As shown in the video it's very track and car dependent.

edit: sorry, forgt the video and thread:

I have to add that there is a big difference between controllers as well. I have this "gt friend" from England name 2Tall4F1, he is now doing times like Barney tha dog or newmedia_dev, Gurzu, meaning Dr A times. 6 months ago, he was slower than me and was a bit like a fan boy. He just bought a new controller for ps4 and improved that much.
I guess he used a cheap replica before. I experienced as well, i have an older original GT controller (silver with gt logo) which is not able to turn in like the new one i bought. (by the way, bought new - stick drift after only 3 month 🙄)
But i gonna buy a wheel anyway 🛞

I corrected one of your sentences in the above post for factual accuracy 😉

Managed another win at LM today, I’m not sure is something funny is going on again with slipstream strength, because today I had a Citroen chase me down from a second out, luckily he got a pen and I moved out 2.5 seconds from him but again he clawed it back and finished a tenth behind me (proper sweats on) but his FL was only 3 tenths faster than mine not the 1sec a lap he should have been?

Same yesterday, this Atenza chased me down from 3.5 secs away with 3 laps left,

Today I played Race A so many times. It was so funny because so many find the car uncontrollable because of SH tyres. What's comedy is the ability to horn. When I was just behind a car to overtake or on the inside, I would horn. I know it could be irritating but I was just finding the whole situation so funny. Honking during racing. I just did this in the first race I took part in.

On a serious note, Race A is fun & chaotic. I did come across a lot of clean racers there but at times racing incidents would occur because of the car having so less grip.

Being back to online races i seem to be realy slow. 2023 i was a high B, very close to A, now I'm a really low B, sometimes C. I don't want to use the meta cars yet. But as these lobbies are really, really dirty a lot of times i might go meta to improve my rating a bit (maybe it's the same at another DR level).

Pace is insanely hot, I am closer than ever to the top qualifying times, often within 2%, but barely an A driver.

Just now in my race i think i saw some good sportmanship when a Isreal driver and a Italy driver on lap 2 tangled on the last turn and it was the Isreal driver that caused the tangle and let the Italy driver pass (i took two postains because of that) I have saved and shared it

Managed 4 races at Willow, just to see how pace is going. None of them particularly good, since punted or sideswaped in every one. Only consolation, from 14th at 2nd lap to 7th in the end. Pulling the plug till Friday, as always lately due to work. Luckily Friday I'll need just a lil warmup and then it'll be all racing. I've 3-4 tenths to shave from my QT even if already solid enough to start on 1st grid. Have a nice week, everyone.

Unfortunately, there's a boatload of "sorry didn't mean to" moments but I'm trying my best to stick to enjoying the spirit of racing even if it's a little imperfect.

Starting in pole is certainly very, very dangerous.

Edit: I love raving, but I meant to type racing

Yeah, 3 races in 2 nights start pole finish last.

I can put it down to me but honestly I feel there is so much over driving going on it’s crazy.

In one race I’m over 1s faster than most of the top 10, yet rear ended in to the first 3 corners.

What the actual, I can run close to my QT as race pace for godsake just very sigh.

I didn’t think I’d like race A, decided to take a stab at it because I couldn’t bear anymore LM.

Turns out I might be pretty good at it, first dab gave me a 1.19.5 which put me 8th and was certainly helped by a load of kamikaze first corner heros, battled it out with these couple of guys for 6 laps, finished p5, decent.

Decided to go at some more quali and got it down to a 18.7 which put me pole and led from start to finish 👍
