I personally wanna see different leader boards for each car for drift and time trials.

Seeing the Special 62 as the only car up on the drift trials is getting a bit annoying. I wish it was how it was in GTP where each car had it's own board to compete on.

I would like a Championship where i could enter my own garage to race against and the AI be the equivalant of my best Bob then i could see my own cars or even allow the car i use to be used against me and try to beat them (Obviously you need a "High Class" Bob to race against and you can only enter cars within the same class or BHP range). I'd like also for the best lap you have done in a certain car in a certain race to be stored instead of being reset everytime you enter the race. So i can not only try to beat the AI but my best lap too.A record kept of everycar you used and the best lap changed for the car you use.It would make it more fun for me to grind or redo Championships that way.

This wont 100% apply to me as I'm getting a wheel in the next few days but what I'd like to have seen whilst I was a DS3 user was on the Seasonal Events, when looking at the lap boards after setting a time, it'd be good to have an option where you could split the table into wheel users and DS3 users. Then DS3 users could get a good grasp on how fast they are (I'd love to see this as I'd keep using my DS3 along side my wheel just to see how quick I was lol)

100% agree with this, its a very very painstaking task to go through the list to find the fastest DS3 user and compare your own DS3 time to someone elses.

I only use the DS3, thought about getting a wheel, but just dont feel it, had one before and just wasnt the same. Unless i could hook up my own car to the ps3 somehow and use that...... :P

I just crave one feature: That you d be able to share time behind the wheel with your b-spec bob in the endurance races.

For gods sake. Next race for me is Tsukuba 9 hrs.

Individual gears would be great too. And fulfill the promise of upgrading more cars to premium. But please PD, PLEASE dont make me drive that whole 9 hrs, let alone the 24 hrs later on...

A "Suggested Race" menu for individual cars direct from the garage. Nothing is more tedious than working out which races for my 100's of tuned/untuned cars to give me a close run.

I really like thid idea! it would sort of help the lack of a-spec events! but then maybe they could add both!
but anyways, great idea!

I had a similar idead... something like "Seasonal Event Generator".

You could choose your oponents, one by one, even the color of their cars... the time of the day ( exactly, just like in online lobbys ) and the weather conditions. The level of A.I Agression , and a lot more variables..that already is in the game.

THAT would be AWESOME.

I like the idea of the AI Agression setting! Can we just have that in general A-Spec & Seasonal lol!

I'd like the old school test track and then 400m, 1000m & 1600m options.

Also official online Drift races.

Online drag races.

Personal leaderboards for each track that can be uploaded onto a central database to be viewed online.
Or online leaderboards with full search functionality, i.e. by car, by weight, by power, by power to weight ratio, fastest top speed and the ability to search for friends times etc.

The gear ratios have been covered.

I would really like to see the G25 and G27 wheels supported in GT5. I have a G25 wheel and because it is not supported. I can't map buttons for my windshield wipers and my horn. I know it is not a big deal, but really don't see why polyphony couldn't support the Logitech G25/27 wheels. I would be willing to bet that at least 50% of wheel owners are G25/27 owners.

1. I want Logitech G25/27 compatibility

2. I would like a random race generator

3. I would like to have to pay for damage that is csused to my car in races.

4. I would like a few more events

5. I would like to be able to customize the interior of my car. Nothing fancy just kind of similar to the car configurerer on Ferrari's website. http://www.ferrari.com/English/GT_Sport Cars/CurrentRange/458-Italia/Pages/458-Italia.aspx It would be an awesome feature to GT5 to make it stand out even more.

1) I also have a G25 and I have buttons maped for my windshieldwipers, horn ald highbeam...
In de settings you can use the buttonu asigment for the Driving Force Pro,

2) Race generator = arcade pick a car, a track and go race

3) Then the AI would need to improve aswell

4) Seasonal events

5) would be nice but, don't hold your breath.

I was just going to reply to the G25 issue, but figured I'll comment on the rest as well.

BTW: I thought this was going to be a thread where any news about the next update would be posted, but instead it is just another wish list trhead.

Good job we needed another one of those

Fast forward/rewind replays. Also an option in the garage to change oil on all cars that need it. Seriously, it's tedious to change oil when you drive a bunch of cars online, then try to remember which ones you drove. Also, it just takes too long.

Was hoping for some news in this thread, but Ill jump on the bandwagon and put my 2c/2p worth in.

I am hoping for G25/27 support, but the biggest hope for this next release is an increase in the levels from 40 upwards, making the game longer as being not far from completion of all the levels and specials I feel this game has a life span that is going to be reached for a large amount of people in the upcoming months. (excluding online racing)

Another race series maybe worth releasing above expert but below endurance.

Lots of gameplay features I'd like completely revamped.

1.) Customizable gear ratios....this is an obvious one. Sounds like it's coming soon.

2.) Ability to change and/or paint the wheels on standard model cars. Another obvious one IMO. Some of my fav cars in this game are unfortunately "standard models" at the moment....it's irritating that I can't even change the wheels.

3.) Practice and qualifying laps prior to races. This needs to be added for both A-spec and B-spec. Normally it would be puzzling to me how a simple feature like this could be left out of the "real driving simulator", but considering some of the other shortcomings of this game, it doesn't surprise me that much. Incredibly frustrating B-spec races, such as Cote de' Azur in the Historic Car Cup, would become much less frustrating if you could gain the pole position by getting to qualify prior to the race. Having to forever start in the 7th spot is incredibly unrealistic and ruins a lot of the immersion IMO.

4.) Combine the A-spec and B-spec endurance races. They could put an icon for it right on the main screen, maybe below the Special Events icon. This could allow for there to be a larger selection of endurance races, as well as allow me to actually feel like a part of my race team. I've assembled all of my Bobs and trained them, yet I can't call on them for assistance after I've ran a large amount of grueling laps during a long endurance race.

5.) If they are going to keep endurance races the way they are, or even if they changed them per my suggestion above, I would still like the ability to save during these races. It kind of ruins the immersion a little bit, but holy crap, completing a 24 hour endurance race on A-spec is a lot to ask. I think it would be a good gameplay feature to implement.

6.) Revamp the experience levels and licenses. I can see needing a certain "experience level" to be able to drive certain cars. Obviously, if it were real life, you wouldn't see a green driver in a 1000 hp race car out on the track in a sanctioned race with seasoned drivers. However, the licenses should dictate which races you can enter, not your experience level. They tie together anyways, since you'll still need an appropriate experience level to be able to field a competitive car. As well as the appropriate experience level to even be able to attempt certain licenses. As it is, the licenses are completely useless IMO. The only reason to do them is to get a 100% completion.

7.) Place more restrictions on each of the race series. I want HP restrictions (like GT2) on each series, up until the high level races of course. The lower level endurance races (Grand Valley 300km for example) should also have HP restrictions. Certain race series should require cars that have factory-based chassis...I.E. no race prepped cars. The car make/model restrictions need to be tightened too. I shouldn't be able to enter the European Hot Hatch Championship with a Bugatti Veyron. This applies to the higher level races as well. I shouldn't be able to enter the X2010 in the Super GT series in Extreme with a bunch of JGTC cars.

I think these are realistic suggestions. Obviously I wouldn't expect all of these to be in one update, but I'm just throwing out ideas. All of them really just come down to changing the format of the game for the most part, save for the wheels on standard cars suggestion. I don't know much about programming these games, but it seems to me changes like these would be much less involved then modeling more standard cars to the level that the premium cars are at or implementing a realistic damage model. Obviously I would love to see both of those, along with more RM cars, in the future as well, but I think that if these changes were made, the offline portion of the game would be much more interesting and enjoyable. Adding more races would also be preferable, but even if they just made the changes above and kept the same amount of races that we currently have between A-spec and B-spec, I could see the experience becoming much better overall. That's my opinion anyways.

Also an option in the garage to change oil on all cars that need it.

In my opinion, the tuning and mechanic/oil change should be in or directly available from the garage, and the garage should be available before a race in "settings." That way, if different tires are desired, it'd be simple just to go directly to the store and buy them, the same with every other tuning option. To me, this would simply involve a rearrangement of the program's folders.

It would also be nice if car's had a record of oil changes and mechanical work, maybe even like a GT5 Carfax.

Agreed.....I like this idea too. Another formatting change, that one would think wouldn't be all that difficult to implement, in comparison to some of the other changes that people really want (standard/premium cars, damage model, etc).

It would be nice to see a full-fledged, season long racing series in A-spec i.e. something with a little more depth and structure where you have a short practice session, qualifying, then a race w/ a 16-car field that allows you to save after every race. Almost like a mini-career mode.

Being a professional developer I can assure you that this has nothing to do with the "programs folders".

It would require adding additional menu options that call existing sub routines and hopefully bypassing the animations. The oil change should be added to the triangle menu and available from the garage and in online lobbies.

The tuning shop would be convient but not really needed. Ability to save a tune and recall is much more important than a short cut to buy parts.

As for A-Spec changes It really would not matter how many they added if they are not restricted or some kind of incentive added to make them harder they will still be bland races.

They need to focus on Leaderboards, deeper online mode, proper tire wear, restrictions, saving tunes and adjustable trans. All but the leaderboard portion should be simple.

Also would be nice to get back the ballast weight option.

Ahm... I agree with most of the suggestions.

Well, I'd be happy to be able to change the freakin' racing suit. Be able to use the suits of other drivers would be nice, I mean. We had sort os someting like this in Tourist Trophy, and I really want the white suit with blue helmet instead of my blue suit with silver helmet. It looks boring. :(

I know, I know, it's nothing major and all, but you guys said basically everything I think the game needs right now so i'll stick with the suit. :)

Oh and one other thing ... This isn't a huge problem, would just be a nice addition, but when the controller dies, I'd like the game to pause (My controller died once during Laguna Seca Endurance and I hurtled into the wall lol! My fault 100% I agree, just completely forgot about the battery being low) I mention this as on F1:2010 the game will pause if the controller dies or if the USB cable moves slightly and the controller disconnects.

Damn....I completely forgot about the ballast option from previous games. I also didn't mention the tire wear issue in my initial post or being able to save seperate tunes for the same vehicle, although I meant to. Good stuff.

A cheat to unlock Top Gear test track before I chuck my controller through the TV screen in frustration at failing Samba racing for the umpteenth time...

Drive it in manual and eak out all of the speed from each gear. You want to be fourth / fifth before the follow through on the first lap. Ready to take first / second either before or at the hammerhead (I just did this today)

Slipstream where possible and try to stay on the inside on the first quarter of both laps.

I would like to see a personal "Top Gear Leader Board"
So you can take all your diffrent cars on the Top Gear Track and have a record of whats fastest or slowest!

that's already in there.
go into Practice from the GTLife screen.

it keeps the best 10 laps you do on a track.

you do realise that you don't HAVE to take the most powerful car you have into a race just because it's unrestricted, right? this game is as easy or hard as you want it to be.

i mean, if you don't want to take the X2010 in the SuperGT series in Extreme with a bunch of JGTC cars... don't.

I'd like to be able to filter seasonal event time/ drift trails by friends or world. Competing with people I know would make me much more interested.

Glad you ordered one, ARGOS ftw.
