I got my blood tests back today, and it turns out that my suspicion was true that I have mono. From what my mom (she works as a nurse) and the doctor have told me, it should last about a month. I can still go to school, since my fever is mostly down (it still gets up to 100 or so from time to time, beats the 103-104 it was all last week), but I have to take time off work, since I do a lot of lifting there, and heavy lifting can sometimes burst the spleen when somebody has mono. This means I have to stop going to the gym too.
Before I got tested for mono, we mistook it for the flu, and strep throat, because of the fever and sore throat symptoms. The fever is almost gone as I said, but the sore throat is still a pain in the ass, and I have to stay away from a lot of foods that bother my throat.
Anyway, mono sucks, and I was wondering if anybody else has ever had it, and if they have any advice.
