Yes I can, but I´ll have to edit it in later, since my PS2 is turned off atm. Be back soon with a setup!

EDIT: Try this setup! Front/Rear
Tyres R2/R1
Brakes 6/5
Springs 11.5/11.7
Rideheight 80/80
Damper bounce 3/3
Damper rebound 6/6
Camber 2.5/1.5
Toe 0/0
Stabilisers 5/5
Gears autoset 25 (possibly lengthen final too, experiment yourself)
Driver aids 0/0/6
Downforce 50/70
LSD 20/35/30
Probably 9 laps/stint if you do not add any power. With stage 4 turbo upgrade, 7-8 laps. But a non upgrade will do fine, since your own laps should be somewhere between 3.00 and 3.10, and Bob´s around 5-10 secs slower.

Audi R8 Setup:
Install all the Turbos. All the Engines.
Suspention: Full Customize
Drive Train: As much as you can get Full Customize
Other: All of them you can get
Tires: Super Soft (R5)
Hope I helped! :D

These are not the settings, they are just the parts he should buy, and except from that, if he puts super soft on the 24h he will not be able to complete a single lap.:)

Then what is he talking about when he says 'settings'? Super soft tires are the best tires you can equip!

Damper settings. Spring settings. Brake settings. Gearbox settings. Wing settings. Etc.

Super soft tyres? For a 24 hour race? How many times will you have to pit?

:dunce:

EDIT: And this thread is nearly a year old. You brought it back to tell a guy what parts to buy, which I'm sure he's worked out?

Yes, Team666 posted SETTINGS. That's what folks are asking for when they ask for settings: spring rates, ride height, brake balance, ballast, gear ratios, downforce, toe/camber angle, stabilizers, etc. You SET them at a certain value, hence the term "settings."

And, GT_Jim posted a well-known fact: you can't even complete an entire lap on R5's, ESPECIALLY not in an LMP race car with a St.4 turbo and full downforce. Your tires would be flaming balls of rubber soot by the time you hit Maison Blanche.

Also, it's not a good idea to dredge up a year-old-thread, unless you've got something EXTREMELY valuable to add.

With Super soft tires you can pit about 10 times on a 24hr race.

In this race report, AMG covers 424 laps in the 24 hours. He used the hardest tyres and had to pit every 9 laps, which is ~47 times.

Would you care to explain how you can pit only 10 times using the softest race tyre? That's about 40 laps on one set.

So, Escalade_dude - You've already receved a warning. Stop making things up, or else you'll get another one.

Statistics
Laps 1-9 and 10-18 on R1/R1 tyres.
Remainder of the race pitted every 8 laps, used R2/R1s and filled up to 72 units of fuel.
On lap 424 just 8 minutes before 24 hour mark I make my last stop and fill up to 40 units.
I’m at T4 (end of straight) when the 24 hours pass by.

Final score
Black Mazda 787B 427 laps 24.01:56.404 (ended on 715bhp, valuation screen)
Green orange Mazda 787B 424 laps and ± 1.5 min behind.
Nissan R92CP -.-.-
Jag -.-.-
Minolta 421 laps
Peugeot 905 -.-.-

R1 starting tyres but switch to R2/R1 for better wear.
At the end of 8 laps the rears were light orange and the car was breaking out a bit.

No, he won't get another warning. He'll get an infraction, and then a couple others in short order, unless he decides to stop hyperventilating and become a constructive member.

So if Team666 posted settings, there is no point on posting another one.

See, the coolest thing about settings is that you can "season" them to fit your own personal driving style. That's one particular reason why I never post specifics when talking about settings. What works for me may not work as well for you. However, if someone else (like Team 666) posts settings, I may try them out and tweak a little here and a little there to fit my particular needs.

There is no "magic bullet" when it comes to settings in GT.

With the R8 on Sarthe 2, the best thing for the car is to reduce downforce slightly (alleviates some tire wear), raise the ride height to approximately mid-range, reduce the springs to match, soften the stabilizers (generally I go with 3 or 4) to keep the car from bouncing all over the place.

Leave enough room in your top gear to take advantage of other cars' slipstream (draft). If you can set it to hit a maximum speed of ~385 km/h drafting and still hit ~360 km/h unassisted, then you should be golden. Generally, the AI will only do about 350 - 365 km/h down the Mulsanne, giving you significant advantage in A-spec. This (IMHO) is where the race is won. Kick ass at 360 km/h+, and you've got the race in the bag.

I would NOT advise adding either of the turbos, because they won't significantly reduce your lap times, but they WILL significantly accelerate your fuel consumption, as well as chewing up your tires a bit faster. The R8 is VERY mild on the tires, and the biggest limiter is fuel consumption. More than likely, you'll need to pit for fuel before you wear out a set of R2's.
