Anyone else bored of GT5?

Personally I get bored of GT5 sometimes, but I've been playing since the first one came out and it's kind of part of my life now so it's not going away. With the new speed test I feel I always have something to do. Lately I've been trying to find the fastest car for under 20k and so far the Camaro Z28 is stomping the competition.
 
Yep...but more like getting bored of gaming in general. Why? Simply because of A) the amount of idiots online who abuse the most overused/overpowered guns/cars/etc. and B) the way gaming is going (not everyone likes online-only games - whatever happened to the good days of Star Wars BF? Or GT1-4? :indiff:). I miss the good days of cruising along in TDU, or owning the AI in COD: The Big Red One (I think that's the right one), or laughing my 🤬 off in GTA3/Mercenaries 1. I just wish more games had the option to play with the AI rather than be forced to play a boring campaign or get pissed online due to all the 🤬 holes. Apparently that's too much to ask for :banghead:.

On a GT5 note: I love free run rooms (when they're not full of ramming 'tards), but it seems that the only track anyone does so on is the TGTT (which I love), but it's getting boring running the same cars around the same track. We need more cars and tracks. Period.
 
No way,i only got this game 4 weeks ago haha.I am lovin it,i borrowed a mate's ps3 for the week,took it back to him,came home,went and traded my xbox and forza 4 for a ps3 and gt5.
I have not even missed forza,and honestly dont think i will.
 
If it were not for a good group of online buddies, I would have moved on a while back. So, yes, I play it daily and I enjoy it, but it's mostly because of the people and the laughs.

GT6, you got some work to do! Start with making A-Spec more worthwhile.
 
I don't have anyone I race against online, so I just jump into random rooms on an almost daily basis. 80% of the time I can find a good room with good drivers. I notice children like to ruin peoples time mostly in drift and free run rooms, but there are still good ones to be found.

Recently i have realised that i have got pretty god damn bored of GT5 and i feel that i cant play on it like i did on GT4. On GT4 it seemed like the game never ended and it was so much more fun to play. I hope that GT6 will come soon and they add a lot more races and licences to it. Rant over!:)

I only play it once a week in a racing league that consists of 15 other regulars. We all agree that the game outside of our league is pretty boring. Honestly, without the online and a group of friends to enjoy it with, Gran Turismo 5 is a terrible game. You can shove all of the tracks, realism, and cars into it you want, but without some enjoyable content, there is just no point in starting it up. I've never seen a game like this before, with so much there, but so little to do with it.

Where Forza 4 on the other hand, whether im playing with my friends or by myself, I enjoy it every time and put in a couple hours a day on it. FM4 is just so much better.
 
I get easily bored with the game, its just the limited choice of cars, tracks are boring, least competitive AI, but other times I do find the game fun when kaz makes them hard b-spec races

Limited choice of cars? What game are you talking about here?
 
I honestly can't believe there is such a high demand for more A Spec events, if GT5s AI sucks so much, why do a lot of you want more? AI is boring anyway, totally predictable and dumb, and not just in GT5, in any game. I prefer playing against real people, much more competitive and unpredictable. Oh and if you guys haven't figured it out yet, Seasonals are what PD is intending to be new A spec events, whether we like it or not. I'm not bored of GT5(although it could use more tracks) hot lapping, tuning, racing online, etc keep me entertained. It hasn't been out of my PS3 in the past few months unless I'm watching a movie.
 
Like has been said before, try some racing leagues. Most members practice for their weekly races together in sprints so you can see how you stack up then. If you don't have a good internet connection that will be a problem.

Check out the Weekly Race Series Time Trials. Lots of serious competition there.
 
I think to make it more interesting they should make the AI's more aggressive because they are pretty pathetic at the moment.

I'm bored of stupid posts. If you disagree with the OP, please explain why instead of berating fellow GTP members. Basically we're all GT fans but you can't ignore the fact that there is no consensus about GT5.

iv probably put 300+ hours into the game easy.. and its gotten boring alrite..
would much rather a larger expansion i would pay good money for, then small pieces of dlc every couple months

also i would love to see a betting feature available as option for online races where we can bet the credits we'v earned in races, and maybe have options for tournament races for this too...

It would be cool if they had online A-spec. Where it's setup like the restrictions for offline a-spec, but you race other people instead of AI. There could be a matchmaking system to match people of the same skill-set, and most of the very beginning levels should be spec racing, so new drivers can focus on driving instead of worrying about finding a good tune at the same time.

I think this would add tons of fun to the game.

-edit- For the bad drivers, just have a way to rate them. Then they will be penalized or something. At least some way would need to be implemented that would strongly discourage dirty driving.

I would also love to have an updated GT4 ported in its entirety on the GTlife homepage. That would last me years I think!
 
I'm getting a bit bored with GT5 now. Barely play it 5 hours per day. To keep things interesting I think I'll start running all the reverse tracks and learn how to drift.

No, LOL (capitalised, mind you! ;)) is OK, however, continuing to post without capitalised sentences and "I" to refer to yourself, when you've just read and acknowledged the warning that highlighted this paragraph from the AUP for you:

and then comparing the staff to Xenophobic, mass murderers is really not a very good way to endear yourself to anyone, and will result ultimately in your removal from here if you continue to ignore the warnings.
6 errors in the post you were warned for, 8 in the one Gejabo corrected for you, 2 in your post I quoted above. The list goes on...
It's your choice, either grow up and post properly, or continue to post lazily and see where it gets you?

You're "a bit bored" with GT5 and yet you "barely" play it five hours daily.
What were you like when GT5 released :dopey:
 
That doesn't include time spent on gtp. Let's just say the family is happy to have me back. Am I the only one addicted to this game?
 
Bored? Not hardly.. I just reached B-Spec Level 40, and I have plenty to do still, including a Route X testing marathon.
 
I used to play a minimum of 4 hrs EVERY day. Recently, I find myself going for a few days at a time without playing & it doesn't even bother me. 'Nuff said...
