Anyone else had a car just dissapear from their garage? my F12007 is just gone..

I'm not to terribly bummed about it, its a dealership car so you can re buy it whenever you want at a hefty sum, but it was mine, I never had it sent to me or anything. I had it for months. Today I realise, poof, its just not there.

Just for complete disclosure to help the case, I never even drove it or swtitched to it, if that helps.

Ive got over 500 cars now I keep randomly buying I wonder of others are poofing of without me even realising it...

And no I dont have anyone playing pranks on my by selling or deleting cars when I'm not there.

Also I'm not sure if this is revevant, but I deleted my gama date a few weeks ago and now most of my car thumbnails are missing. You can get them back by select create thumbnail but Im not going to do it for 500 cars... shesh! Whats up ith the programming in this game.

Sorry it was me, I broke in and stolled it while you were asleep. It was a special order for a guy in the middle east. Needless to say your car is on a container ship on it's way to the UAE. Were you insured?

no insurance but the fuel tank of thewas rigged with explosives in the event of this. I hope your men had made peace with god.
 
i had this happen to me twice before 1.06,mustang gt premium and nissan gtr,i reset the system and they both came back though

so you mean there wre no signs of them in the garage AT ALL? are you sure you did not just miss them? And thene you resrart you console and they are there?

It puts a little thumbnail pic where there should be one if you ain't got one for some reason.
 
So you bought a 12.5 million car (an F1 car at that) months ago but you never drove it, or even got into it? Why not?

no i fully tuned the gtr and had to go to work(i had bought the mustang a couple days before and didnt touch it,they were both the most recent purchases)saved it through the home screen(im paranoid and dont trust auto save lol).Turned it back on 8hours later when i got home and no gtr or mustang in my garage,credits were still gone though.I was all WTF for a few then turned it off to get supper,came back after to re-buy the cars an they were there again but the gtr was stock even though the credits were gone...thats my ramble for the day
 
Ive upgraded my R390 Road Car fully a bit ago, right away went back to GTLife and to open lobby, go to setup the car online and no parts installed LOL had to buy them all again. Credits gone.

Good thing I just rubber band grinded 15 mill.

Before you go buy a new one, I suggest is go thru your garage and manually open each vehicle. That's what I did. The car didn't actually disappear. What happened was the thumbnail had changed to a different vehicle making me think the car had vanished. Once I found the 'missing' vehicle I simply created a new thumbnail. It's been fine ever since.

Only time I have ever needed this is after duplicating vehicles. Weird. Does that mean PD is pro-duplication? Hmmm..... One could think...

I never drove it cos I never have enjoyed driving F1 cars in Gran turismo. I just didnt get around to it or care. Even when the F1 specific seasonal event came along I remember having the F12007 but I dont do seasonal cos they are a waste imo. They are way too easy and just a novelty, plus you get no reward.

I definitely never shelled out 12.5 mil not too long after gt5 was released ( was it even possible) ,for some car I wouldnt even drive need or want . I only now know its worth after it went missing. Must have got it through some ticket, but Ive had for for AGES.

I remember seeing 666hp, 0 switched 0 miles f1 just days after gt5 came out in that car list,

I guess another reason I didnt bother trying it was cos wanted to keep it that way.Heck I didnt know it was available at the dealership new till now.

No point, I kno its not there. I have like 2 ferraris lol...

Actually the only reason I noticed its missing was when I went to the ferrari dealership I didnt notice there was a tick next to the f12007

Does anyone else also feel like a bit of an idiot for playing a game that can do witcraft on you and screw you over at any point

Yes, I've had this as well.. had me stumped..

I noticed last night that my race modified Golf has gone as well!! and I drove that.. still it's not an expensive car...

somewhat disturbing thought.. the thought of going through 500 cars one at a time to make sure they are safe is a bit of a nightmare..

I had a 905 vanish....after I'd arranged a trade for it!! Since the other guy had already sent his car to me I had some serious trading to do to get someone else to send him one (thank you kingy1988).
 
Amazing as this just happened to me. I won my X1, so I have a good attachment to it. Been using it to grind cash in b-spec until today. Its just gone. No other cars in my garage with similar bhp so don't think its a thumbnail issue.

Very pissed if thats the case, especially now I can't easily get a replacement and already done the most I want to do on the vettel challenge (2x bronze and a gold before my G25 started making funny noises)

No car of mine is gone...or should I say, no car that I drive most of the time is gone.
 
Don't think I have lost any cars - but on the 1.07 upgrade my 2nd account I did gain a Z06 RM that I had shared from my primary account!

Perhaps I have stumbled on a way to gift any car between accounts??!!
 
For those who've 'lost' cars, i've noticed a few other threads on the matter today, were those cars set for sharing online? I'm thinking that if a PSN friend is borrowing it maybe it doesn't show in your own garage?

You just had it set to share with friends?

And it appeared in both?

Are you sure you did not borrow or send the car?
 
Did I just dream it or is there a "refresh all thumbnails" button somewhere? Perhaps this is what it's for.

DEFINITELY didn't gift it to myself on the 2nd March - I did have it shared though from my main account. I *may* have borrowed it to do a American only A-Spec event, I can't recall. But it still shouldn't have duped it into the 2nd account garage.

So there's got to be a bug there somewhere. I think I need to open a new thread asking if anyone else has seen this before.

i definately didn't set it to share. It was set to online only. Still pretty pissed its gone. ANY other car I wouldn't really care about but that was my grinder and I worked hard to get it.
 
Sounds like you guys have been victims of the Duper-Pooper. Hes the latest superhero doing the rounds(yes a superhero with victims).

He climbs in your window at night and turns GT5 on and deletes any cars he thinks you may not have earned, according to his own idea of morality. He then scurries back to his Mothers basement before dawn and probably writes some complaints to TV channels about bad language/nudity etc.

Beware the Duper-Pooper. He takes duping VERY seriously, in fact you could go as far to say he takes duping almost as seriously as some of the whiners on here.

The only ticket you can get it from is a level 24 ticket, and you only get one of those for completing the endurance league. So you managed to do that a few days after the game came out?

Something doesn't add up here.

DIdnt think it was weird unitl now. I remember I had it for quiete a long time. Before I ever started trading Maybe it wasnt a few days maybe a few weeks but I know it was very early into GT5. Like I said I didnt trade it so I must have been awarded it somehow. I have no idea what tickets give what I just opened them as I played the game. If you only get it fron endurance than thats how I probably got it. I think I was level 40 very quickly because of the SLS comp
