Anyone else thinking of retire from online races?

Must admit I prefer the 600pp tyre regs. Raises the skill bar a bit.

Oh, I don't know about that. It certainly makes things slower, which in some ways makes things easier. And don't forget that non-racing tires are actually more forgiving than racing tires, not less forgiving (they lose grip more gradually than racing tires do, so you have more warning that you are approaching the limits of grip). Snap-back is also much easier to control (or simply doesn't happen in the first place) on harder tires like Ns and Ss instead of Rs.

My gripe however, is that you have to use a specific tire. I wouldn't mind quite so much if there was possibly a range of tires, like "sports tires only", so we could still stagger tires. For example, I prefer the DB9 to have one level harder tire on the rear than on the front (Say, front S3 and rear S2). On the old Lancia I like the rears to be two levels harder...

honestly, i enjoy racing online. If i get hit off the track i get back on and race as hard as i can and push my car even harder than if i was up front, which has helped me get better and now i can anticipate bad situations better and stay on the track.

i am really enjoying it as well. i i have noticed lately that i am really paying attention to my mirrors and picking my lines differently depending on who is behind me.

all the punters are annoying, but you sure improve and find creative lines, esp in the mitsubishis, very forgiving cars. both on mistakes and punting.
