anyone find the 25 lap races excessive?

The main difference between the road and race car is that the race car has fully adjustable downforce and all racing mod's except for turbos pre installed. The road car has rear down force adustments and IIRC it only comes with un adjustable suspension and transmission, I think it has a sport suspension that you can adjust some but I could be wrong.

For the Pro league Polyphony digital cup you have to use a stock "un modified from how you won or bought it" road car, tires are at your discression. All of the races are about 15 laps and the GT1 road car will breeze thru them with ease. I used T2's up front and T4's on the rear to go the entire race without pitting.
Win race 1-7 and you could do race 8 as well. Then save your game and skip race 9 and 10. If you dont get the car you want then re load your game and try again.

I think road cars are optimized for most courses which don't need extreme steering or speed. (Maybe I'm wrong?)

I don't know "Normal cars which are not adjusted only" exactly...Can all cars except F1s be driven in Trial Mountain 2 Hours? (Maybe my translation is not good...because I'm playing Japanese edition...by the way,all Cr. numbers in this edition are astonishing...)
 
No race cars can enter the TM Enduro - that means no cars with a number on the side. GT3 considers the Tommykaira ZZII as a race car, as well.

Yes, stock road cars only. Check out the Writeups Board and see what some others have run. I used a Viper GTS which was way too much car.
 
Same here, anything with more than 5 laps gets borring. If the AI were a little more intuitive, which will hopefully be the case in GT4, maybe 25 laps would be fun.

GT One road car is eligible I believe; so is the R390 road car. But really, anything as fast as an NSX is capable of winning it. It's been won in an Elise 190. I'd say try the Ruf 3400.

There is a Pennzoil on its cover...So I thought that it won't be so easy before...
NSX is OK!? Just as the Trial Mountain enduro in GT2 !
 
anything over 15 laps is a concerntration struggle for me...........i have a short attention span
 
For normal car "unmodified from how you bought it" races. The GT1 Road car version, R390 Road car version, Speed 12 are the top stock cars to use.
Just pick any car you want and attempt to enter the race, if you arent allowed to enter then one of the rules in the info screen for that series will have your illegal parts listed. IE if your in a race car for hte Polyphony digital cup then the car will be red. You can click on the car text or something close to it to see all legal cars for the series.

thanks for the suggestion, but i think i found the solution. weekly race series! i think i've found my new home :cheers:
 
If you dont like anything longer than 25 laps, do not attempt these \/\/\/\/\/
 
well, they are a bit excessive after you do a lot of them. sometimes it gets old going around the same thing 25 times and it taking a lot longer than you want it to.

however, i'm not the most of a patient person, so i'll bet a lot of people have a different opinion than mine.

all in all, however, unless i am really comitted to doing large races and have a lot of spare time, i usually enjoy them as much as i race them, so it works out pretty well.
