Welcome to mid-2011.

Make a search on forum, there's video for both eiger and toscana and well for the AMG and Vettel challenge it's just a matter of trying again and again. But if you look for infos on those you should find it by searching the forum, I've seen plenty of thread about those.

Wheel or DS3?
What aids are you used too?

On the toscana night track, brake early and drive smoothly, and you should get gold easy.
Eiger is worse, you'll have to push the car very much but at the same time drive smoothly and brake at the right time. You can search Youtube for vids on all these.
AMG academy is easy. :D No seriously, just drive smooth, and avoid wheelspin.
Ahh the S.Vettel challenge, just push the car and when you think you have pushed it enough, push it more... ;)

I use ds3 but thinking of getting a wheel but dont know if ill benefit? Just use aids by whats recommended on youtube vids, and ive studied loads! Im 0.179 off gold on eiger and about 2 secs off toscana night. Ive heard rumors about deleting game data as non patch gt5 tracks and times were easier. Any suggestions?

1 word, or..(counts them.. 4!)

RA Menu, Brake Bias

happy golding.

I would get a wheel if I could (well I did last summer :D)...
It makes things ALOT easier.

And I got golds on Eiger just 2 months ago, with 1:16.459 (even with some wheelspin on the last corner), no need to delete any game data.
I only had ABS set to 1 and manual gears, everything else off.
Toscana is easy enough as mentioned before, with same aids as above.

Sounds good i think i will get a wheel but ive never really tried to do manual, ive always used automatic. Is it hard to grasp manual?

On DS3 it can take some time to get used to it (not very long though), but with a wheel its really easy.

If your playing GT5 for platinum only its too hard m8. Try Terminator Salvation and save yourself a lot of grief ;) If you like driving games then dont give up. The events are hard but not impossible even with a dual shock:)

Cheers for the advice, im not the type of person to give up but i have no patience either, thats why i was looking at any methid possible to get the job done

For the Vettel Challenges, Monza was the easiest for me(still a challenge though) with the DS3, followed by The Ring and then Suzuka. Learn those braking points and how hard/soft to brake and use that left analog to the fullest!! 👍

This itself is a bi***. Many meny meny hours racing and sitting there. i will maby get this in 2 years
