Anyone had this problem with their game disk?

A mate of mine has gt5 on an 80 GB fat ps3 and got to level 24. Then the other day he put the disk in and got an error code 80010514, Disk cant be started, or Game cant be started. He did a format but still has the same error. I think he needs to contact Sony, but anyone else had this error?

I've heard that this may mean your blu-ray disk reader is on it's way out. Back up your save just in case.

If you need to wash all your cars in gt5. Take ps3 out side and hose off. (Tada). All cars clean.

Today was a stressful day as my GT5 game did not want to start. error 80010154.
Quick search on the net and my world starting to fall appart.
Blu-ray drive is broken, that's what I concluded after reading some posts about this error code.
Did the FILE RESTORE fix. Nothing happened. No more GT5
Then i read something about games freezing/ not connecting to PD servers that made me think.

I decided to try one last time to start up GT5, this time with no internet-connection.

Yeeeeaaaah
The game starts like normal, no more error.
When the game is finished starting up, I then reconnected my PS3, still no problem.
