Anyone play on PS3 with a G25 or T500? Rotation lock question

My G25 is nearly 7 years old now and ive been looking for an excuse to replace it. But its still working fine so ive kept it for a while longer.

I just got f1 2013 on the PS3. On 2012 with the G25 you got about 120/130 degrees of turn each way and then there was no rotation lock jolt. On 2013 with the G25 im only getting about 95 degrees of turn each way, which feels odd. The top of my fist is literally facing straight up. Taking tight turns is weird with no arm crossover.

I looked at some youtube videos of the G27 and that appears to have more lock on it. Cant find any using the G25. Its ruining the game for me, plus I play a lot of GT6 etc so I decided I should upgrade my wheel, its time.

Does anyone here use a thrustmaster T500 with F1 on the PS3? I am wonder what the standard lock rotation was? I know on the PC you can change it but this is PS3.

Anyone with this wheel please help me out before I buy!

You can easily reset the rotation lock on the T500 to a few presets, if it's supported by the game (which it is on F1 2013). The procedure can be had at Thrustmaster's site. It involves pressing the "mode" and "right d-pad" at the same time. Doing this once will set it to 360. You must do this procedure every time you start the game. I then use "Saturation" in the menu to hone in my max steering wheel angle. I prefer around 330 degrees max lock.

If you do not do the procedure above, the default will be a 200 degree max steering angle for this game.

I don't really know a lot about the T500, but I think when playing with it in GT6, you have to turn the wheel a lot since it's 1080 degrees. I know this because I have a G27.

For realism you definitely need more than 180' total lock.
Have a look at Rosberg's car from Monaco this year and see how much wheel he has to grab to get around Casino Hairpin (unsure how much has changed in geometry/ steering racks since 2013)

He winds on 225' to the left before it hits the stops
So you need to be able to simulate 450' of total lock.

I was actually shocked when i saw the footage from watching the race

I've only just bought a PS3, GT6 and F1 2013 this week.
I have a DFGT and will fire up F1 and see what's what with the DFGT

Sorry I can;t be more help, but figured I'd help out with some info

EDIT: sorry, I just saw the other Steering lock thread

I run a T500 with the F1 wheel on F1 2012.

I've not played around to much with settings yet. But I mostly just increase steering saturation to 75%

This secret menu sounds interesting

I have a G27 and I don't notice anything strange when playing 2013. I have all the Codemasters ones before it as well.

There was a discussion on this in another thread. Teams only use that much lock at Monaco.
