According to the schedule, SV isn't covering the whole 24 this year, but instead 6 hours Saturday (12:30 to 7) and then 4 more hours on Sunday (9:30 to 1)

Haven't seen ONE ad on Speedvision, tho...I hope they're still going to cover it!!!!

If not, then

Hiya (Special K) Macka :)

I think it should be a done deal that they will be covering it. Remember Grand-Am has strong ties to NASCAR and we all know who loves NASCAR (FOX) so I'm sure they will be keeping each other happy.

According to Grand-Am's website today they are saying that the coverage will be going ahead. I checked out tvguide.com and they don't show anything on Saturday or Sunday (just the usually programs). But I'm still hopefull it will be shown :)

PS. Are you still playing LeMans on the DC? I'm now 6 hours into the 24 hour race in the Sauber. I've managed to pull out 1:30 lead on the Toyotas 😈

Thanks tggt2fan :)

Umm, no, unfortunately I unloaded my DC and all it's goodies recently. TDLM will be sorely missed :(

1:30 ain't to shabby....just you wait, by the time the sun rises you'll be waaayyyyy further ahead than that! When I did the 24, I used the #45 Panoz Esperante, and beat those Toyotas by more than 6 laps. And that was with me running the tanks dry here and there to "simulate" punctures, breakdowns, etc.

The only part of the DC I'll miss....wouldn't have time to play anyhow because of school

If I still had SpeedVision than I would watch it, STUPID DIGITAL CABLE!

Yeah I'll be watching it, but it'll be hard to hear with the sound of this race that I'm going to be at at the same time. Oh.....wait......:D

Was Paul Gentilozzi's interview earlier funny or what? He said he figures that you can only drive three hours in a stint because there are too many old people. He also said that he wasn't tired so maybe he could drive the pace car (he had an incident where he said the pace car waved him by but he was then penalized).

good race. for a change a srp car actually finished first overall. anyone know what happened to spencer? he was almost dead last in the overall standings. did he wreck or something in the early bit of the race? i missed the first day because of work. all i know is, i'm glad to see the judd in victory lane. that is one awesome sounding motor. the lista team really had a great looking car, and it looks like it has a lot of potential. as far as gts goes, i'm not sure. something about a tube chassied car doesn't seem to production to me. that's worse than the v8 bmw imo.

btw, props to kudzu for taking a top 5 in srp! derek bell said it best when he said "that car just runs and runs," about the mazda rotary in that car. they may not have won it, but to finish 4th with such a dated chassis (and limited budget team like that) is a well deserved 4th place. :)

Water Line between engine and transmissions borke, car overheated, cracked a cylinder.

I was just walking by his pit when they were all scrambling around the car, then it drove off to the garage. Too bad, I and I'm sure everyone had High hopes for them.

I love the Kudzu. My favorite car/engine combo out there. Although I was hoping the Ferrari would win. Then when it went out I went to my second favorite, Intersport, then I wake up and hear they are having trouble:(. So then to Champion which did end up doing very well. So Doran is nice though. I am however pretty pissed about the *Trans-Am* Jaguar winning GTS. It should have gone to the Marcos;). Really I consider the Labre Viper the winner there. I'm also supprised about the SRPII car finishing third overall. Well, on to Sebring!

i agree with the gts jaguar. that was, by no means, a production version of the jaguar xk8. well, unless they are tube chassis and carbon fibre/fiberglass bodied from the factory? the viper team did an incredible job considering they weren't factory backed. i thought i'd never see the day a gts-r was that close to winning in class at the 24hr of daytona again. a great effort by that team!

i wish i could've watched them at night. i love watching the kudzu and it's famous glowing muffler at night. :(

I really wonder what happened to Spencer... Zip Racing's #35 finished 20th or 21st, i think...

The Jaguar should have run in AGT, if you ask me... since when XKR have Ford engines with carbs?

It was great, I was walking around the track with my friend and his parents and we stopped at the exit of nascar2 and as the Kudzu went by there was about a foot and a half or two foot long think blue flame all the way down the backstretch. When it went off for a lap or two(around midnight) we went go try to find it and get some piures of the glowing exhaust pipe but I guess they went straight back to pit lane. Anyone know what that was all about?
