I have considered that as well as trying to fit a few cars into the one series. No matter how I try the cars arnt equal unless weight and hp are matched which then means tuning is open and defeats the purpose. While there are quite a few rm and race cars to choose from very few are good to drive stock with no tune and believe me we've tried a lot. The car selected also has to be able to handle in a bunch racing situation and take a slight tap without getting to unsettled. I think you would have all found the camaro has filled the criteria quite well. Next season is pretty welled settled but as a suggestion can every please state what car they would like for season 3 will test all the cars, pick out 3 of them and season 2 winner will pick the car. Any thoughts?

One of the best race cars in the GT5 garage is the Ford GT LM Race Car or Test Car ,second choice would have to be one of the GT500 NSX HONDAS - Takata,Loctite,Mobile,Third choice any LM race car.:idea:Forgot to mention only the 03,01 GT500 NSX race cars are worthy of testing as the 06 models in the dealership are not worth racing if you have experienced the early 01,03 models.

Cheers Ven

Hope this helps...

Some very close times.

Do you know what the weather settings will be for SPA as I don't want to push my luck and ask no chance lol.

Cheers Ven

Same as last time for weather in the two trial runs it rained for around 15 laps but who knows lol

Couple of tips for those competing. I think you can see by the laps times that the fastest lap won't always get you on the podium. Doing consistent laps and getting your tyres to last is key and secondly two cars working together can reel in a car on its own due to strong draft setting. In the races so far I am yet to see people use this strategy. Most of the time we are fighting for a position we lose on the next straight anyway and cost ourselves 2 secs a lap and let a leader bolt away into clean air. Hopes this helps good luck see you Sunday

Tips for spa two tyres inside white lines unless taking evasive action. At spa this also applies to the outside white line as well as the inside one. Last chicane and up the hill will closely monitored good luck all

Wow. Didn't think I did those lap times. That was the most inconsistent race I've ever done. Missed qualifying, horrible start, caught up with another car lap 1, dropped into sand on lap 3, the most inconsistent lap times, just rubbish!!! Goes to show in this series you need to be on your A game to be able to compete, as everyone is as quick as each other.

Agree with the pack racing. Monza perfect example. Everyone in the first group of cars decided to battle each other instead of helping, which let Fewzo and myself pull away.

First corner at spa won't be fun. Pole and 3rd spot have the best run in, everyone else won't have fun with that one.

If everyone one is smart they will take first corner easy and let the draft up hill do the rest lol

drafting is not an easy thing but it dose help. at monza emu and i were battling for about 3 laps then i sat behind him for a while and we were catching the mid pack. until the sand got me.

weather settings will be the same as last time.

i might not be there this week.

Thanks all..

Its time for a come back , and really hard. This weekend watch out!!

Season 2 is ready to rock and roll for those who are mad enough to try this again. Can only hope that all the mistakes we made the first time round we can correct and mAke it a truly close event. Hate to say but Vh has this champ all but done. Only some poor driving or missing a round will cost him now. With 3 left looks like a full on battle for 2 3 and 4th a d even tighter battle between 4 cars for 5th. New season will be posted some time next week for those interested. A couple of minor changes should help spice it up a bit. Hope to see you all Sunday

Not true. If I finish 4th or lower every race you and vend will get me by 6 points (if you both finish top 2) so no, it's still alive boys. Keep pushing all the way. Only takes a bugger up and it'll be dead close at the end. And weather at spa could open the championship up.

It's good he won't be here in 85 laps of racing we have only been separated by 3 seconds i need the rest lol

Well there goes my champ lead. Fuc kin Sony ******** disconnect....

Don't worry Vh rage will take that into account we have been fair with others so will do the same for you great lap times at the start Vh you were setting a cracking pace

Was cruising doing 2.21s then settled into 2.23s then the one lap on softs did a 2.18.2.....then gone.....

Mik ,
sorry :grumpy:to see a PS network disconnection cost you a possible victory must be fustraiting after a bad start last week.Good drive nochance :tup:you capitalized on the outcome.I once again had pushed too hard in qualifying and ran of the track and to top it all off, ran of the track during the first lap not to mention being pushed around during the first lap and the best for last ..was ?

Accidentally selecting front comfort softs in pit and sliding around like on ice for a lap. Now that was fun lol .

As always look forward to racing with the lads next week.

Have a good week all!

Cheers Ven

What a race where to start. Well done Vh on another pole 2.22.687. Well done to me on my first win, even if only by default. Don't worry Vh won't be happy till I beat you on the track fair and square. Bad luck to Sid and vend who ran out of fuel. Well done to fruit on his first podium and monkee on 5th in hid first race. Fastest lap to emu 217.743 and bad luck mate. Unlucky spin second last lap ruined a great battle

I am thinking about changing the race time to Sunday morning when it is not so busy on the network to reduce the dropouts we are having. Please let me know your thoughts or any other suggestions

As promised I will now reveal car for season 2. It will be the Nissan Silva s15 rm with no tune again. I have chosen the car because it handles quite well but more importantly, by lowering the pp of the car we will get much closer racing across the entire field not just the mid pack. A new points system will be in place as well making it more important to maximise every race. The new season will be over ten rounds which will include 2 sprints rounds, 7 single race rounds and 1 enduro. With the new points system your worst 2 rounds will be dropped from the final tally. This has been implemented so if you need to miss a round for personal reason or drop out it will not hurt you in the chase for the series title. Tyre restrictions will stay the same but with a couple of little changes. Sprint rounds will be on the soft tyres only with pitstops optional. In all other rounds you will still only have on set of soft for the race but will now be able to start the race on them if you choose. Qualifying will still be on hards. I will try and post a new thread this week for those interested and will restrict the field to 14 drivers, with the competitors from season 1 getting automatic entry if they wish to sign up. If you know of someone who you feel is a good clean driver and would like a crack at it let them know about it thx
