Are any of your preorders getting ready to ship?

Amazon.co.uk here, nothing yet but expecting it to dispatch tomorrow or early Thurs. Estimate is the 6th so I should have the game in my hands on release.

I saw this thread and thought "why would preorders be shipping already" and then I realized that the game comes out in 3 days and I still don't really care even though I have it preordered.

Yeah, why not just close the forum down.

I've been saying this for years.

The Amazon pre order policy was to guarantee release day delivery, I believe.

So, if mine doesn't come I'll be giving them some serious grief.

Well I was about to get it from a store here (GAME.es or Xtralife.es)...but I finally got the PSN digital version (Anniversary Edition of course) that can be downloaded the 5th and be played at 12:00AM the 6th. (Spain)

A guy that bought it at xtralife.es told me that he will be recieving it by tomorrow. They have stock and they send it in 24hs.
But that won´t help any of you I guess since you all live in US, Canada, UK and such. But at least here you can get the game a little bit early...which I don´t mind.

Indeed, as I was able to upgrade mine to first class post for free. Sadly that also means it will probably be delivered by Royal Fail, who often haven't turned up until around 6pm recently :(

Yeah it is mid afternoon for us these days sometimes. I have the afternoon off work, so I am hoping for Royal Mail to do the business.

Ok, I've spoken to 3 so-called customer service representatives on Amazon and none of them were able to tell me if Amazon in the UK have got the game in stock. Not one.

Unsurprising really.

One, officially it's not actually "in stock" in that it can't actually be delivered. So it won't be registered onto any system to say that it's available.

And two, did you see the Panorama documentary on Amazon warehouses?

Lol, no. Were they in a right state?

"Littler conveyed the impossible pressure put on workers as they race around the distribution centre, attempting to meet their targets, “You can do it if you’re basically running” he commented, before pondering how one could run for ten hours straight. “I’ve never done a job like this…the pressure is unbelievable” he panted. Later he discussed the targets with a fellow picker who explained that sometimes he met his targets easily, whereas other times he felt like saying, “hand me a ****ing gun so I can shoot myself.”

Happy workers, then? Mind you, in many places nowadays it's like that.

Yeah, same here.
But I'll have the GS copy on friday so...

same. Thankfully I only have an exam this coming thursday, the 5th, and rest are all next week so I'll have a little bit of the weekend to play GT6 :D

I'm about to go hunting for GT6 now. I know we are a couple of days early before stores are allowed to put GT6 on the shelves, but my local Australian BigW and Target stores are notorious for breaking embargo and putting items on the shelf up to two days early. I did pre-order the Anniversary edition with EB Games but they won't break embargo no matter what plus I could honestly care less about the boring custom blue cars...

pre-ordered the anniversary edition on game (uk), got an email yesterday saying its ready and will be with me friday :-)

I walked into my local Gamestop this morning & just paid in full. I was a bit surprised to be told I'm the first person to do so at that location. I'm not even sure if I'm getting anything additional with it, I should have known about the anniversary edition.

My Amazon UK order has been changed from preordered to not yet dispatched.

Mighty Ape sent me an email Monday advising my order had shipped. Aussie Post have it 'In Transit' since yesterday morning. Hoping to see it tomorrow. As a matter of interest, Mighty Ape are no longer accepting orders for the Anniversary Edition.

Nearly Wednesday and Amazon.co.uk still have not changed the status of my order from 'pre-order' to 'dispatching soon' :irked: Have any of the retailers you've ordered from shipped or are getting ready to ship your copy?

It's probably because they aren't drowning in pre-orders and can get the last ones sorted tomorrow.

Amazon are always the worst when it comes to getting a new release early- in other words, you never get anything before the release date from them. At least, I never have.
Please forgive the silly question - but why order with Amazon if you know it won't release early and had an earlier release with Game previously?

On mine (Gamezone in Norway) it says it will ship today. So there may be a tiny chance I'll have it tomorrow. But I'd say 85% friday, 10% sat, 4% next week.

For me it was price.

Plus there is little point in having it before Friday if you want the game with the intro and bug fixes + online it should have. Which it will get on Friday.

My local gameshop is posting they've got GT6. Going to pick it up after work! So exited! Tomorrow is my day off. Hahahah blisssss.

Well, the patch is Thursday and presumably online will go live then as Asia gets the game then too. I'm getting mine via Amazon and am happy to wait until the 6th. I was just curious as to why Ryan didn't, as he stated he upgraded to first class, which probably would make them both the same price.

Mine is with game.co.uk and is now showing as dispatched, never ordered from them before but hoping it comes tomorrow!!

Yes I know there is a patch but I'm hoping I can burn through some of the licences and novice races ready for the serious stuff :sly:
