Are any of your preorders getting ready to ship?

Question,

I am currently installing the patch on my standard edition of the game I just picked up and plan to play through most of the day until tomorrow when my AE edition arrives.

Will I still be able to claim my cars and credits or will I have to start again?

If it's anything like GT5 standard, and GT5 XL Edition, you will be able to keep your current playthrough. In fact, the AE edition, you do not even have to install it, it's the same game on the disc. What you need, are the redeemable codes for the extra cars, assuming they are DLC items of course.
 
Got my email from Amazon this morning saying that my copy had been dispatched. I should get my pre-order code tomorrow when the game arrives.
 
I've got my AE. All I need now is to get off work. I thought the release was tomorrow and figured I'd get it on saturday since everything's closed tomorrow due to a national holiday. Was a nice surprise when I saw they were already selling it.
 
Mine arrived 5minutes ago :D Now installing and updating ^_^

Anniversary edition dispatched this morning from amazon.fr
Should arrive tomorrow as planned, but I am still updating the shipping status every hour, so excited :-)
Also received the code by email for the 5 additional cars (the other 20 are probably "on the anniversary disk" if I understand)

No, that is somehow "included" (don't know how) in the anniversary edition (together with the 20 cars, helmets...). The code I got is for the 5 additional cars (precision pack)
 
Mine was dispatched yesterday morning, still waiting for the postman to show up at 1.12pm, it's not looking good for today. Postman is usually here by 11 at the latest. Pretty unusual for it to have not arived yet.
 
Post man just arrived at 1:18pm and nothing :( may just go into town and get a normal copy from CeX
 
I finlly have a hit on my credit card, though it's not mentioned anywhere...it's getting ready... Gamestop has then been right. (In Canada!!!)

Gamestop does mention that it may take 1 business day to appear on file. I Know it is also getting shipped today

Thanks for the info, I just don't want to wait until Monday if they mess up shipping it.
 
Mine was from Game, also an Anniversary Edition. Just been on their site to double check as it has "order tracking" though it isn't "delivery tracking" so really it isn't much help, it just sais "shipped" and has been that way since yesterday morning.

Sitting in to wait for a game that isn't showing up is no fun! Might just fire up GT5 and drown in my sorrows, or maybe do something productive with my time! On the bright side (perhaps overly optimistic) the Postman still hasn't been, so there is an off-chance it could still turn up.

The person at gamestp i have exchanged emails with yesterday said that they were shipping them 1 day ahead of release so that it is going to be at you door on friday... that is if you live in a big area, like Montreal or Toronto (asuming you're canadian)

Nope, only part Canadian.
I don't live very far out from a big city (FL,USA) so I hope it will be fine.
 
I received 2 email on the 3/12 from Game customer services saying my preorder had been processed, and it will be ready for delivery soon. 2nd email says "Hi there, Great news! Your order has been dispatched and will be delivered soon." However this 2nd and last email does state "Please note that Pre-orders will be processed ready for delivery on the release date."

Way to get me excited only to let me down. It leads you to believe you will get the game Thursday instead of Friday either that or it confuses you. It actually sounds like game are covering their own backs. Its a normal policy really. Soo the game very probably will arrive Friday. Either way i´m not fussed because i have Thursday and Friday off :D :Evil laugh:

My order was with game and it didn't arrive today, even tho it shipped yesterday am :(

YES! Just got my email from Amazon France saying my Anniversary Edition has shipped and will be here on Saturday! Plus i've got the promo code for the precision pack. So that makes 25 glorious limited edition cars to delight in :)
 
A lot of people seem upset and disapointed that they have not received it today, despite the release date clearly stating it as the 6th for release. Those that have it already are fortunate, not you being unlucky or having bad service. Get a grip.
 
My postman usually arives before 9am but didn't come this morning, 2pm is their normal cutoff point but around christmas they are extra busy and can get paid overtime to work a lot later. So there is still a small chance (if your postman has not yet arived) to get it today.

I'm not holding out hope though. Pretty disapointed as I always get my pre-orders from game 1-2 days before release and a dispatch yesterday would normally mean it was coming today for certain.

I suggest you call them at 1-877-442-6303. leave a message they will call you back. They will tell you what is going on. You live close to Sherbrooke don't you? you should be ok getting it tomorrow
