The 270R and 400R I know are definately real road-going cars developed by Nismo because I have seen photos and videos of them. However, what about the likes of the Nismo GT-R LM Road Version, Nismo Fairlady Z Z-tune, Nismo Skyline R34 GT-R R Tune and the Skyline R32 GT-R S-tune? I can't find any info on them apart from their presence in GT games so are they simply extremely rare Nismo cars or are they just concepts developed by GT and Nismo together?

Wow, thanks Mad 👍

I assume photo 2 is the GT-R R Tune?

So can these cars actually be purchased by members of the public or are they track only cars?

Thanks but I haven't seen them yet in the UCD (lv. 17 A-Spec and lv. 4 B-Spec) and was hoping for a quicker response.

Could you not go on to the internet and search for these cars ??

Check out my first post.

I did, that's why I asked you if you had searched for them on the internet as I put some of these car names into google and found a limited number of sites that had evidence of these cars outside of GT4 / 5.

I find it kind of funny that people are answering the question by posting cars that aren't in GT5...

Anyways, it depends. Most of the NiSMO cars are real life models. Some of them PD made up based on stuff that could theoretically be a real model. I'm pretty sure the 350Z Z-Tune is one of the latter. The GT-R LM is a real car that NiSMO threw together for homologation purposes in the mid 90's. The other two you mention if your first post I'm not so sure about, not having GTPSP or GT5 in front of me at the moment.

Yeah, I've checked the 'Net and the only two I was able to get info on were the 270R and 400R. Nada on the others but I now know they exist because Mad posted photographs. Still haven't seen a real-life photo of the Nismo Fairlady Z-tune, though.

To answer your question, any car that is LM and has PD logos all over the place are usually PD conceptual models. Not real in the sense that it's an actual car that drives and races in real life, but most of them are basically modded versions of cars in the game. The Nissan Concept GT-R LM is just that a concept RM version of the Concept model. The Ford GT LM aren't real cars built to that spec in teh real world either, Ford GT LM cars sport much wider fenders fore and aft. The Altezza Touring car is another one created by PD design teams. Car descriptions let you know all of this, "this is our take" on what at LM or racing model of such a car would look like. I like that they do this as they never go overboard with numbers and such.

The Nismo cars are very real. I own an S-tune in RL.

I picked up the Z-Tune in game and was really impressed with it... one of the better cars without any mods or tuning... fast as hell...

Every car posted in this thread is in GT5 except for the Z-Tune (thanks for catching my error!); they rotate through the UCD. I have both the Fairlady Z S-Tune and R32 S-Tune already. And I've seen both the R34 R-Tune and GT-R LM Edition but didn't have the funds for them at the time. Oh, sorry, the R34 R-Tune is red instead of silver.

The car list is your friend.

So where is this?
It's not a very good quality but it's proof:drool:

I understand the compulsive need to look clever on the Internet, but at least try to understand where people may be coming from before you try to cut them down?

Yeah, you got me...I missed one. Original post fixed.

I saw a nice RED Nismo Z33 Z-tune here in Alaska. Either Nismo took to the Gran Turismo concept that was made and made a few, or someone here in AK REALLY wanted to get an S-tune and get the paint job on it.

When I saw it, my jaw dropped and I just looked at it in awe.

The NISMO cars are real. Every single one of the in the game is real.

In GT2 there were even more cars if I recall correctly.

I myself owned a BNR32 GT-R with an S1-Tune tuned engine and chassis. S-Tune is a package specially ordered by NISMO Omori Factory.

You can buy:

S1-Tune (425WHP in GT-R) with stitch welded Chassis.
S2-Tune (425WHP in GT-R) with stitch welded Chassis/Chassis rigidity refresh.
R-Tune (525WHP in GT-R) with stitch welded Chassis/Chassis rigidity refresh.

The R-Tune has a number of upgrades over the S-Tune allowing for further tunability.

As for the GT-R LM, it is most certainly real, and only one was made. It sits in the Kanagawa Nissan heritage museum (of which very few people know about).

The Fairlady Z S-Tune is also offered in the same options as the GT-R, albeit with less power. It's available in Z32, Z33, and Z34 formats.

In the interest of sidestepping this GT-R vs. Corvette nonsense, I think we should acknowledge that both cars have a long racing pedigree with several wins in several different international races.
