Are there Diesel cars in gt5? I wonder if you have a car wich says D (diesel) or TDI (TurboDiesel) or something on it?

Basically as everyone says, yes. About three I believe.

Time to start a "We should be able to change engine!" discussion?

Only if you're starting it.

As to the OP all cars can be a diesel, if you dream and make the engine noise yourself when you play the game :sly:.

I don't want a motorbike sound!!!

I myself tend to make diesel noises

^^^ This is a diesel sound - like nailing the hell out of the engine...
Hahaha - don`t know which bike sounds you mean?
Hear this. -> [/media]

that was funny! This thread should turn into a "we need more diesel cars and trucks"

Makes me think of that summer when I worked at the cemetary and drove a Lamborghini diesel...

It was a tractor, but still.

I think the BMW Concept 1 Series tii '07 is.

Isn't the Audi R8 race car a diesel, the standard one. As the premiums are petrol.

Paul

Nah, it's the other way around. The Audi R8s ('01 and '05) are both petrol, but the Audi R10 is a diesel.

Yes. The idea was to offer both diesel and petrol engines if the concept went forward. The one in the game may or may not be diesel.

It was never considered for diesel. It's intention was for motorsport. That's why it got the 3.0L inline 6.

the Mazda Kusabi concept was a diesel I thought... along with the Audi R10 race cars and that crappy 120d. Tank car is gas. used an abrams tank engine before they switched to diesel.

The Tank Car has an M47 Patton engine in it which is a twin turbo V12 that runs on gas.

Wow, learn something new ever day. Googled and got:

"The Kusabi's aluminum frame supports linear and responsive braking. Combined wîth a new and spirited 1.6-liter diesel engine and a six-speed automatic shift manual transmission, the concept achieves stable and predictable driving dynamics that can only be described as "zoom zoom.""

Love that car.

Premium Citroen Concept I believe is a diesel electric hybrid

HKS Genki Silvia 2004 is diesel :)

Guys, the diesel cars in GT5 are listed in post 10...

LOL, tx. I though I read over a year ago that the BMW Concept 1 Series tii '07 could have a diesel motor. Must have been an editoral remark rather than manufacture. Oh well, I love that car anyway.

Shame, as now you cam't make GX category cars in any rave series, unless if you want it one-make.

As what's already been said.

I think we're done here.

No it isn't. It revs low because it's a 29.3-litre V12 engine from a tank, hence the name. Why should the engine rev to 6000-8000rpm if it has 1600+ lb.ft of torque?

BMW 120d
Peugeot 908 HDi
Audi R10 TDi

These are the only diesels in the game. Shame, really.

Don't forget the Dodge RAM 1500 LARAMIE Hemi Quad Cab '04
I know it's not a *car* which is what the OP asked about specifically, but it is a "diesel in the game." Didn't see it mentioned in any of the posts through 3-20-2013, sorry if I missed it (or the point).
