In GT4, do to a wheelie you needed a car that could go over 400 km/h. You also needed to soften spring rates, maximize downforce at the back and minimize downforce at the front. NOS helped too. The oval test track was the perfect location but that's not in GT5.

On a side note, I've heard of and seen this "wheelie glitch" around for some time. Yes, I've searched for it, but to no avail. I keep finding threads about people who are asking what it is and how you do it but no answers...
Anyone know and want to tell me how you do it? It would be cool.
there are serious glitches when extreme suspension setups are used, checkout this thread and the vid where the cars dance, do one wheel piroettes and bunches of non car like jumping/bouncing and of course there the is it a bird? a plane? no its a 300mph X-1 flying by 200 ft up in the air after hitting a curb no doubt....
For a fact, I've gotten pissed at the NASCAR AI's and turned around to take a few out head on at 200 mph and believe me 3400lb cars fly like frizzbies in this game
