If you don't want to be seen as weak or a wus you can just vote.

This is the worst war most of us have ever been around for.

Anxiety?
Worry?
Regret?
Wishful thoughts?

I do hope it is over soon. I am caught up in it. I'm not worried who will win but I am worried about what will happen after it's over. Although I say I don't care what the world thinks about us there is a small part of me that does care.(very small) I guess untill they walk in our shoes they will never understand. I guess that works both ways though.

I just want the fighting to be over soon. My best friend, a good friend, and my cousin are over there. I just hope for their safe return. Specially my best friend, which is in the 3rd infantry division headed towards the captial.

I am not afraid of the war itself. But it will anger a decent percentage of the muslim population, so you've gotta be a little bit anxious about what may happen after it. I really do feel that some WMD may have already fallen into terrorists hands and I am wary of a chemical or biological attack amongst the aftermath of the war.

I think that the americans and allied forces should just go in there and kick ass until they do what they wanted to do and then let this all be over with.

I hate the fact that we are at war.
I wish it were going better than it is. I heard a funny quote on CNN today. "You can fight a war assuming that the enemy is going to co-operate and do what you want."
I have no doubt that we will EVENTUALLY win this thng. I just hope the "peace" is also winnable.

There's certain things I'm afraid of. I'm afraid of a silent biological attack. Or something like the Anthrax attacks. What makes me even more afraid is that Russia was just recently (as the war was going on!!!!!) selling percision guided weapons to Iraq. Now tell me that isn't a slap in the face. And to quote, I believe it is former President Ronal Regan: "Just because Russia is no longer communist does not mean they are our friend." Should we attack Russia over this? No. But we can easily avoid them, I think. Or hope.

Do I support the war? Since it's a "have to", then yes. We don't have a choice. We gave Saddam and his regime chances upon chances to disarm and he didn't. And to make things worse, he hurts his own people, has women raped for absolutely no reason at all, and just kills them! He is an evil, evil man and deserves death. That freak can meet Hitler in Hell for all I care.

I am scared for the innocent lives, and for those fighting for America. Everytime I hear of a POW or more loss of lives it kills me inside. I'm praying peace can be found soon.

Don't forget that Syria and Iran have been supplying Iraq with wepons and other military paraphernalia.
Arab countries are beginning to unite. (ijits)

That is true. And just last week, or the week before, we "accidently" launched a Cruise Missle into Iran. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the guys who punched in the coordinates did that purposely. :mischievous:

I do - an interesting point was brought up on a political talk show the other day by a man called Lawrence O'Donnell - "it may take us as long to take Iraq as it's taken Britain to secure Ireland." Fair point - and what's to stop Iraqis from forming all sorts of small terrorist groups (like the Irish Republican Army) with the one goal to drive the US out of Iraq? They seem more loyal than we thought they'd be.

No - Iraq's friends will always be Syria, Iran and Jordan. The Arab world won't unite as long as we're friends with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Yemen, Egypt's government, etc.

Without a doubt we'll win the short term. How long it takes, nobody knows. I seriously think we will never win the long-term goals of getting peace in that area and getting rid of all of the dictatorships and crap. Plus, there will be a very messy aftermath in the US with all of the crazy extremists there(no, not all, in fact, barely any are extremists, but there are a few) will try to destroy the US on suicide runs.

I feel the same as most of this. I've taken to not paying any attention on the weekend. It started because I just don't do much driving (radio), internet, or watching TV on the weekends. I noticed I was happier and less worried. One my way to work this morning I got caught up.

Does it demonstrate strength to support something you hate and despise? something that only makes you hurt? I don't know.

It worries me that the American leadership in this war are doing a lot of finger pointing, that Rumsfeld is accused "micro-managing" and not letting the generals do what they do.

I hear those who ask "why are we fighting for Iraq's freedom when we can still work so much on our own?" And I think, "Hm, good point."

Everyone has a good point for their argument. I dont see where we can justify NOT going to war just because someone thinks our system is flawed.

Thats just it and what is the biggest problem with the world. We're told what to think since birth,.. but we're all being told something different. With that said,... it's impossible to justify anthing we do,.... so yeah,.. it's a mute point, not a good one IMO.
