Turn ABS OFF, set your Brake BIAS to approx 3/3 or less, and enjoy the new ride.

Nissan GT-R R35 TC, 5:57 on the Nur, all aids off.

What tires do you claim to have done that on? 'Cause I'm not believing it until I get a replay video.

Since i have a G27 it is probably a bad idea to turn ABS off. Didn´t try after Spec 2.0, but afaik with ABS off you will lock the tires veeeeery quick without this aid. Got everything else off, of course.

5:57 on Nordschleife with a touring car? Racing soft tires? Even then it´s fast as hell...

It's odd because in other sims abs IS off and I seem to be able to handle it fine without lockup. But GT5's nature of braking later and being more aggressive than in other games I feel would leave me in the dust if I turned it off in this game.

Another schoolboy style childish remark.

OP very good lap that is, ive done 5.58 in the same car, but do admit ABS on 1 and TC on 1.

that's how I prefer to drive with my g27. just have to get the brake bias setup right.

I'm sure plenty of people here falsify their times though. It's very easy to make up a time in the ballpark of reality just to show off.

I do agree that the game is more fun (and demanding) with ABS off. It seems like modulating braking is impossible at first, but you adapt pretty quickly (at least I did and I'm at best an average driver). You can't just shoot past the AI on braking quite so easily when ABS is off. Still, I couldn't see doing ABS off with a DS3 though.

There are only a few circumstances where I don't use ABS and I use a DS3. Those would be when racing at Daytona or using the X2010/2011. Other than that, I am very leery of turning ABS off.

I always drive ABS off, but I actually tend to turn the brakes up. I start from 7/6 and ajust from there as needed by car. Some cars just let you use lots of brake and some you have to be very delicate with to avoid lockup. Tires make a huge difference as well, on RS's you can often go up to 9 or 10 but with Comfort softs 6/5 or even 5/4 is usually better. I never turn them down below that unless the car absolutely demands it. I've tried running lower and it just takes ages to stop, even with the pedal all the way down.

I use Clubsport pedals now so it's fairly easy to not go to full brake which you very rarely want to do, but I started with a basic Driving Force pedal, and I've found that even with the DS3 it's not bad at all. If you turn them up you won't need to go much past 50 or 60% for very long, and all of the control on the DS3 is in the first 50-60% range, it's the 60-100% bit that gets twitchy.

I find the DS3 gas much worse, where you need that 60-100%.

Only car I've ever driven without ABS was the F2007 at the Nurb, and if I'm honest I didn't really notice much difference to when I had it on, only the fronts locked up a bit easier if I braked too late. Maybe I wasn't pushing hard enough lol :) or maybe I should try a proper car and see then.

5:58 seems pretty average for the R35 TC, the Super GT cars all fall within 4-5 seconds of that time + or -

The R35 TC is actually a fair bit quicker than all the SuperDT cars and will trounce them easily.

Nissan GT-R R35 TC, 5:57 on the Nur, all aids off. G25 wheel, MT shift paddle

(If someone can point to me, a good device / setup to get PS3 videos onto youtube)

Gave my Mclaren BMW F1 '94 a run for its money (tied by 100th of a second on leaderboard)
KICK ASS CAR! This made me love Nissan

please rate my tune.

edit, oh! forgot about tranny setup:
1) Move FD all the way to the right (highest value)
2) Move Top Speed All the way to the left (lowest value)
Slam 1st thru 5th gear ratios all left (lowest values)
Adjust 6th to your liking & Graph
Readjust 5th to coincide with 6th.
Start lowering FD until you get new allowable TOP 340-350KMh ish
minor adjust here and there, up to you

oh and this is the best part:
SLAM the PEDAL out of EVERY apex. (well almost, depending on your lineup and lump in your throat, trust that first)

best top 5 car in game for stability on this track. Maybe PD spoiled us in favor of its generous grip and handling. Maybe I hit a lucky tune. Feedback appreciated.

I call myself : The Hell Raiser , because on the green hell, only raised ride heights.
