I don't like Mitsubishi and VW. They were arsenals during WWII and they still carry the same signs. Just hate that bloody inheritance. They grew big making weapons.
Yes, they have a "bloody inheritance". However, most of it was in German and Japanese blood.
With the notable exception of the Me-109, Most of the airplanes made by the Germans and Japanese were utter crap.
The Zero was only good because of it's tight turning circle.
However, it was also pretty slow. It was still outclassed by the Corsair, and the Mustang.
I'm less than fond of VW's (as I've owned one), and Mitsubishis. I have friends who have had poor luck with them. Life-threatening, poor luck problems.
By the same token, I also have little love for Mopar products. I have personally had poor luck with them.
Though, If I can get a good price on a PT Cruiser, or a one of those really Hot little Neons, I might buy one. (Of course, I'm only gonna drive it 3 years or 50,000 miles before I trade it for something else.

)
I'm also disinclined to buy another Pontiac. I've had two. One grew to be reliable, after
much sorting out. The other was reliable until the first serious breakdown. Then, It was like trying to catch water with a net. I finally got a cell phone after it went completely "tits up" the day after my 37th birthday.
It prompted the purchase of the 'Scort.

.
Now, the 'Scort has given me no major fits, but it currently needs about $500 worth of work, before I'd feel comfortable driving it.
(brakes all the way 'round, two tires, and some exhaust work, and perhaps a scheduled maint. replacement of the timing belt).
But the little beast has nearly 200,000 miles on the odometer. And I hope to get at least another 50-100K more.
