Easiest way to find out: Go to the website of the university or college you're thinking of going to, find their student union page, and if it's anything like the UK student union system there's almost certain to be an Asian Society. Get in contact with the society as they'll have an email address, and ask them lots of questions.
That to me seems like the best way to find people you'll be able to relate to.
