First time back in the PS3 forum in forever and stopped in to see this...
Anyone with a PS3 has told me how awesome this game was and never mentioned any problems...
Guess the games not all that afterall. :ouch:

Still, I've heard it looks and plays like a top-notch game.

Oh it very much has its kick arse moments :D but then it also has its fair share of GD annoying moments too. Like a frustrating beauty maybe.

Well I just attempted to download/acquire the patch and had zero success. Anyone else figure out what's up? Has it only be released in Europe/UK possibly?

Finally regarding a spoiler discussion:
Yeah not only does Miles get eagle vision for that brief moment, he can also then use it from then after. So try walking around the lab and his quarters using it to look around, you'll find some interesting stuff on the floors and walls;)

Is there any way to get this to play in 1080i? The box says it's possible and the PS3 is set to native at 1080i, but the game is still in 720p. No biggie, just it'd look better on my TV.

And I can't get the patch either.

What is the spoiler text thing? And Vonnie if u dont live in europe then we can take it that the patch was just for europe.

You mean how do you post spoilers?

Put "[ spoiler ] [ / spoiler ]" around your text, with no spaces. Or quotation marks.

Well I bought the game today after hearing friends and reviews rave on about it.

but frankly I don't like it all that much....so far. I will give it more of a chance..but.......:indiff:

all this freezing talk is scaring me off lol. no patch for US then huh. gf let me pick a few things for xmas and this was gonna be one of them but now im a bit turned off by all this.

To tell the truth it didn't freeze that often, and even still, its a brilliant game. If your into this kind of game then go for it, even I, a fan of car games and only car games, loved this game to pieces. So its still worth it in my opinon.

My little review:

Pako
Yeah, the games alright if you like the running around, stealth, hi-fi, sword fight kind of game. :)

I've had the game freeze up only twice before the patch, and after the patch I only logged in a couple hours, but no freezes. I still have weird polygons that will stretch from the characters every once in a while. Not a huge deal, but it's distracting at times.

There's a lot to the game with many side missions and mini-quests to keep people busy for a long time. I for one am getting bored with the game and want to hurry up and finish it so I can move on with my life. I suppose if I could have stuck with it, un-interrupted for a good week, I would be done and it wouldn't have a sense of dragging on.

Graphically it's nice to look at with great use of dynamic lighting and shadows although the lack of color gives the game a vanilla feel. A little more color would have been nice.

As I suspected, I did'nt like the game all that much. Repetative gameplay, drab colours, silly story, boring cutscenes etc. Only thing I enjoyed for a bit was the climbing, but even that novelty wore off quick.

Funny how I was extremely excited about this game when I made this thread....and it turned out to be one of my biggest disappointments of the year :(

Yeah mostly agreed. It still had it moments though and you have to admit AC2 has HUGE potential now that all the heavy lifting has been done getting the game engine functional. Moving forward, hopefully, they will focus more on improving gameplay, variety and pacing.

I still love climbing off that giant steeple in acre. Or just looking around from the top of that.

ok my gf just picked it up for me for xmas along with kane and lynch. i havent played ac yet, hope its as good as some people say and hopefully not as bad as some people say either.

I have a little problem, a citizen i am supposed to save is dead, every time i walk by. Another citizen died but came back a little later. Anyone know how to bring them back?

My sister bought this game for me for christmas, and I have been playing it a lot lately. I love it so far. I think the interesting, while farfetched, is still very cool and different. It's interesting. The gameplay is fun, but I think that it will get repetitive, as I have only completed two assassinations thus far.

Don't worry about it, the only purpose of saving citizens is to have a means to block guards who are chasing you. I probably only used them three times through the whole game.

Yeah but that's not what i'm worried about. I don't want that icon on my map :(

If you don't mind repeating stuff you've already completed, you can replay any mission by selecting the corresponding memory thread/string while in the Animus. Maybe not the ideal solution, but if you've already saved out of that mission it may be your only choice.

just beat the game, i enjoyed it a lot actually. had the patch before i started playing and experianced no freezing at all during gameplay. looking forward to the next of the series.

Bought it Friday. Finished it Sunday.

Fun little jaunt (and I do mean little), but the end was indeed somewhat of a letdown. Still, it leaves the next game's storyline open, and it filled a void while my laptop is out of action.

The storyline altogether was brilliant, seemed to have been well thought through, although the action was somewhat linear. Run, stab, run, stab, escape. And the begger women and "mentally unwell" (the first time I ran into one I assume it was an enemy and killed him :() people roaming the streets are somewhat irritating.

7/10

+Visually great
+Storyline
+Easy to get into
+Many ways to play it

-Linear in places
-Not much depth to characters
-The camera can be bloody awful at times
-Far, far too short

I played the game and i was really far, then my cousin came and deleted my savegame. Have to start over again:ouch:
