The trailer has already been posted, so I'll list all the cars (apparently) being added in V0.3, based on the footage:
  • Dallara Stradale Coupe
  • Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo 2
  • Mercedes 190E Evo II
  • BMW M3 (E30)
  • Caterham 7 Academy
  • Audi RS6 Avant
  • BMW M4 GT3 Evo
  • Porsche 718 Cayman Clubsport GT4
  • Ferrari F2004
P.S. Don't know how much interest this is, or might, generate, but flatspot simulation:

I've finally been able to play this game reliably for the first time since February. I hope Kunos takes it easy with their roadmap and just focuses on what makes AC great.

  • Mod compatibility
  • Accessible settings
  • A wide range of hardware compatibility

I hope they do more work on the force feedback, as I find it to be too easy to lock the steering due to lack of feeling between peak tire patch contact and the edges. Maybe I'll have to do some suspension tuning to get it right.

I hope ac evo will have many of the recent top and exotic sport cars?
Even in the data mined car list, i see mostly the same models we already have in the prior sims.
Hopefully we get:
P80, sf90, f8, sp3 ferraris for ex.
Mustang gtd.
Most top brands lambo, aston,.. recent, newer supercars, etc.
Some prototype models that aren't full production cars.
Rimac, bugatti, Koenigsegg maybe..

Not looking forward to same old models just in a open setting.

Looks like they've dropped the final step in AI development from 0.3, which I think is sensible. Forza Motorsport couldn't come close to getting the AI working even after 2 years of live service, I would have been incredibly impressed if the AC Evo AI with variable opponent behaviour from safe to presumably aggressive had been a finished product at this stage.

I use FM all the time and after the last couple of updates, the AI is great to race against. I've had AI stay side by side to me for two whole laps on Mid Ohio. It's way better than what AC Evo has now. By far. The AI in AC Evo isn't even usable at this point.
Yes they got the AI working. Racing on Fujimi is serious fun.

I'll give it another try, haven't played the game much for a while, and last time I tried it, the AI was still so bad as to be completely useless to race against. I thought the AC Evo AI was fine for an extreme safe end of the spectrum last time I tried it.

No you're right, it wasn't the best AI for a while there in FM. The rampant braking in parts of the track that didn't even warrant a lift off was insufferable. They took care of a lot of that. There's still some moments here and there, especially on the first lap but once they get a little separated, the racing can be real good. I was surprised, I didn't think they would ever be able to fix it for a while there.

Everyone in the EA will be able to opt into the Open Beta branch. It has been deemed necessary since it's the introduction of not just a new version of the game but an external infrastructure as well. The offline part will be fully playable regardless and you can think of it as a soft launch of the 0.3 with no caviats.
From Pankypus (a dev) on the Kunos official forums, rumor suggests this is going live at some point today, maybe, possibly...

Stefano seems to have been in the Discord this morning, so a couple of things of note:

This beta test will require a password on a key, password will be widely shared (this is how it worked last time if I remember correctly).

The multiplayer is placed in the open section of the game for 0.3 so no having to unlock anything to take part! :)

This is getting ridiculous.

Since the sneak pic of kunos F2004 in their editor showing that the tyre is just a flat tyre with grooved normal map to make pretend I was sure they were going to go the lazy way of applying a "stock flat spot texture"

This is ridiculous flat spot on grooved tyre should never look like that.

And with the fake groove it looks worse than the F2004 we had in AC 1

And seriously, assetto corsa Evo which is in early release is getting a.......Open Beta? Does that make any sense??

Interesting, here you can see an old Renault 5 and the Alfa Romeo Type 33 Stradale (cars that are not confirmed for EVO right now)

Edit: Nvm, the Porsche 992 Carrera is not a Porsche, it's the Mercedes AMG GT Road Car that we saw a few months ago (I got confused because the side silhouette of the car from that angle is very similar to a 911 Carrera)

Open beta is for the multiplayer online part of it, not the solo game already available

It's for both. I just used it. You have all the updates on physics and everything. The cars. The tracks.
Yes, Panky said on the official forum that the offline portion is still available.

But obviously, this beta is to stress-test the multiplayer and the online infrastructure of the game.
