That's taken away my reason to buy the game, so fair play to them I suppose, saved me a few bob. If I wanted my career to be a list of events I have an awful lot to choose from already.

I think the whole "no-ones playing the career so obviously they removed it" angle that's been used it very obviously disengenuous. An early access game in full development is obviously not going to have the content nor systems in place to facilitate a full career mode whilst that early in its life, so obviously people aren't overwhelmingly going to be playing what hasn't been fully established.

As has been mentioned, the progression itself was already wiped numerous times anyway - couple that in with the fact everything you 'work' for in a career is just going to get reset 10 times over before the game even comes out, it's pretty self explanatory to see why people wouldn't be playing it whilst simultaneously are excited about a future premise - even if they haven't actually engaged with it.

Yes, early access is always a gamble, but people also retain the right to be annoyed when big features get cut/changed in ways that wasn't expected. Expressing ones annoyance is a right people are entitled to have without being attacked or insulted for it. If anyone has called you a fanboy please report it and it will be dealt with.

To both sides of this matter, stick to discussing the points not the people expressing them.
Who have I insulted? I’m intrigued to know.

I didn't say you had insulted anyone, I was making a general statement as the conversation was getting more heated from several users before it continued to degrade further. I suppose I could have separated it from the following comment better, which also stands. Please report anyone who calls you a fanboy.

This just says a lot about how childish people are. The game has not even changed yet and people decide to give it negative reviews just because.
When they promised a feature to be in the game and then take it away the backlash i deserved, Unless kunos change their mind on that, those negative reviews are more than warrented.

We dont owe kunos anything a lot of us paid with faith we have economy in 1.0 version.

Its not random people giving negative reviews its payed customers that put faith that kunos would hold their promise.

What kunos should have done is to delay the release instead and give more of a window, its not the end of the world of it takes until end of 2027 or later.

Or maybe just drop the xp system and just have credits that you can earn through races, and then use them to buy cars and upgrade cars etc. We are not expecting anything massive.

What's childish? People making an informed decision to not support something based on an announcement that has been made by the developers? That seems pretty normal to me!

I'd say childish is going into Gran Turismo subforums every few months just to tell people how bad you think the game is and leaving after annoying everyone. But it's a good thing neither of us do that, isn't it.
