Assetto Corsa EVO: Everything We Know So Far

With Assetto Corsa EVO set to become available to the public soon — although only in early access form — Kunos Simulazioni has offered further insights into what to expect from the title in short-, medium-, and long-term...
The more I read about 'ACE' the car game presumably resembling some of the features of GT3/GT4/GT5 & also making a lot more options available for players, the more I'm tempted to "transition". Or at least buy a powerful PC & also or mostly play ACE instead of or in addition to GT7, which still conditionally fails/suffers to be a real historic Grand good Gran Turismo game.

I wonder if what that guy said, about considering PSVR2 is true..
The more I read about this game, the more it feels it’s gonna be way too heavy for PS5 handle VR…

But one can dream I guess

PSSR 2.0 might realise that dream...

Yes but PSSR 2.0 is on PS5 Pro only.
And as far as I am aware Sony won’t allow any „gameplay” or big „feature” to be exclusive for ps5pro amd not ps5 standard. So VR support must work on base PS5.

I'm glad I bought a pro rather than VR myself ; I just think the software support for VR is thin yet again, after last generation's paucity too. Its a brave decision to early adopt, hope you get more compatible software for it... I wonder what the adoption rate for VR is relative to pancake players. Would adding VR be considered super niche / unviable by a smaller developer?

I think that base ps5 isn’t powerfull enough to implement this without some extreme development planning. Its just too late. If we will get some sims earlier like „ps5 version of Project Cars 2 etc”, it would be probably possible.

End of year is borderline optimistic for 1.0 in PC!
Completely optimistic. I seriously don't see that happening until mid 2026. If that. I'm not complaining because I had a feeling it would be just like AC or ACC. This is no different, or I should say maybe it's different because they put up an unrealistic timeline that they probably knew they wouldn't be able to hold to.
