What was the actual question? And the actual answer? It seemed to go off on a tangent.

Who was the most relegated team in English Football? Nottingham Forest.

I don't actually know as I got the question from a football quiz..

alright.. i dont know the answer but ill have a guess at.....18 times?

Who is the only player to have scored in a League Cup final (England), an FA Cup final (England), a UEFA Cup final and a Champions League final?

Damien Duff?

Chelsea for League Cup, Champions League and FA Cup.
And Fulham for Europa League?

Shot in the dark there.

No. Also, no.

Also, Nottingham Forest have been relegated nine times in their history, meaning my answer of Notts County (15) is currently the most right known answer. They're also one of the first clubs ever to be relegated (there were two), answering that clue, so there.

No.

Let me check... Yes, but it's not really relevant.

Nicolas Anelka. He's usually the top trivium answer.

Oh right, I did a questionaire on it and it said that Nottingham Forest were. My bad.

Do penalty shoot outs count?

Good question. I'm not sure it affects the answer either way (the League Cup has only gone to penalties three times and the scoring players have, for the most part, never played a Champions League final), but I know this answer is during regulation play and so I will exclude penalties.

Don't ever go to Nottingham and confuse the two clubs...

I'm guessing we are in the Champions league era and not the European Cup?

First guess would have been Drogba, then Fat Frank. But I don't recall Chelsea being in a Uefa cup final.

Man Utd haven't been in Uefa cup final for a long time, 1990, Mark Hughes I think.

Liverpool have been in all 4 in recent years. I think the scorers in their Istanbul win were Smicer, Gerrard and someone else. Gerrard scored in the FA Cup final against West 'am. Can't remember him scoring in the League or Uefa final, but he must of in that treble cup win season, as he was carrying the whole team! And it certainly wasn't Emile Heskey!

Steven Gerrard?

edit: derp. Just saw that dh gave him a guess too. Shot in the dark for me.

Steve McManaman?

Gerrard definitely scored in the CL final, don't remember it in UEFA cup final, though I remember someone scoring an OG in that one.

I presume he's scored in the domestic finals.

2001 UEFA Cup final - 16 minutes
2003 League Cup final - 39 minutes
2005 Champions League final - 54 minutes
2006 FA Cup final - 54 minutes (and 90)

Only man to do all four...

Who is the only player to have scored a hat-trick in all of the English football leagues, the FA and League cup, as well as for his country?

Robert Earnshaw.

Got to be someone who's played for one of the caretakers - Pearce, Wilkinson (twice) and Peter Taylor. It's not likely to be Taylor/Eriksson/McLaren/Capello, Eriksson/McLaren/Capello/Pearce or Turnip/Venables/Hoddle/Wilkinson given the timespan or McLaren/Capello/Pearce/Hodgson as Woy played very few single-figure capped players.

So I'll guess the four managers were four from Venables/Hoddle/Wilkinson/Keegan/Taylor/Eriksson - none but Eriksson was in charge more than three years and there's a period of three successive games with different managers in there (Keegan/Taylor/Eriksson).

So we need a player who was most active in the mid-90s but either crap and bizarrely called-up by successive managers or excellent but largely overlooked.

Edit: I'll go for Woodgate or... I unno... Kieron Dyer?
