Mutton dressed as lamb now.

As for the question, a goal is scored and a mascot gets involved in the celebration, possibly going awry?

 what luck, i remember seeing that on the talksport website, player heads ball into the goal, but it goes through a hole and referee disallows the goal.

Correct. 👍

I'm sure this happened in a Newport County game a few years back in the FA Cup although I searched and couldn't find anything. Anyone remember it or am I insane ?

Thats got to be the weiredest thing ive ever seen in football!!

Thanks 👍

Something not too difficult, which player scored the fastest goal in a UEFA champions league game?

Some Arsenal player, Gallas was it?

hmm thats an interesting one, it cant be Larsson because he only scored 3 goals in his loan spell at united..and it cant be Thomas Brolin surely!?!

Aaaahhh yeah i think it is! i forgot about him!!!

Limited to outfield or are goalies eligible too - they're typically quite a bit older... I know Dave Beasant went on well into his forties in the Premier League.

Alan Shearer? I remember him being old and slow in Winning Eleven 9.

Of course, it is a goalie, but none of the ones mentioned.

With regard to Beasant, he left the Premier and signed for Forrest when he was 38. He never played in the Premiership after that, but he was registered with Fulham when he was 43. I'm not counting him as he didn't play. The guy I'm thinking of played in the Premier at 43.

He played over a hundred games for Forest in that spell - they were promoted to the Premier League the year after he arrived and were relegated again the next season.

He won't have been 43, but certainly he'd have reached 40 in that time.

Also a Lanc Pig 'keeper? John Burridge.
