Yeah, it was just a joke! But now I want to know whether you use this camera ?
I wasn't sure. It's hard to read people's faces on the internet (there's a wink emoji for irony btw ;))

And no, usually bumper cam and sometimes in car.

Out of curiosity: did anyone use engine swaps at RA so far?

As everyone was happy with the Porsche I thought it might be clever to put the Porsche engine into the Subaru WRX STi '14 but so far I cannot cope with it...

Even my Evo VIII has its stock engine!

@rheinaoi : thank you for your weight recommendation! I tried the AMG GT and like the power and the grip but at the moment it is too heavy in my spec.

Posted a replay of a 1:19.9. Set the car up for more oversteer and did a slightly slidey lap at 19.6, but this one doesn't count as I cut the chicane without the shortcut penalty enabled. 19.5 seems to be my absolute possible limit with this car where I'm already driving on a knife's edge.

The switch to sports soft tyres was a great decision - I'm having so much fun inducing neutral steer or power drifting into/out of the corners. You can really feel the limit of traction and how the aero factors in.

Are u kidding me?! I'm slowly crawling to the 1.20 barrier and you're talking of hitting 1.19,5!!!!:scared:
Well done  but now, please slow down and give the rest of us some hope! 😁

A little anecdote: During my fastest lap so far, i was wondering why suddenly the time is displayed in red? Well, i found out watching the replay - the lap before, i managed to ignore a penalty, that was on display for about 2/3 of the lap! :banghead: (Looks like i was 'in the zone' 🤣)

If you don't slow down and carry the penalty over the finish line, the time is added to the lap and the following one ger's invalidated.

The more I drive the more I adore your result. At the moment I am 2 seconds away (!) and might improve a bit with the R35 into the 20' but that's it. The cars feel good and the track is made for this but I am simply slower than @Meythia and you (and probably many more in here...). I learn and have still fun so far. Thank you!

Thank you for the kind comment. A few laps in the low 19's have been posted by the others, so I'm still a stretch away from the quickest here. Expecting someone will crack the 19, but this is wishful thinking. Atm I'm kinda stuck with the 991 because of the crazy rotation combined with highest downforce - haven't found any car that cones close so far and a bit limited in time to test more. So gonna stick with the Porschd. It feels I can squeeze out more, but as stated before 19.5 seems to be my theoretical limit.

Edit: 20 with the R35 sounds very quick! Haven't tested it but all AWDs I've tried were around 21-22. Are you in the Nismo, V-Spec or M-Spec?

Just managed to sneak the LFA into the 1.19's, will share the lap with tags ataq and blip. Same as round one, I stuck with my first choice car and tried to learn a bit about tuning...

Car was originally lapping around 21.5 when adjusted for power and weight, then I messed about to trying to solve issues I felt were holding back the laptime. Calming down the rear and going towards understeer, trying to ride the kerbs better, removing weight and HP, and finally ramping up the front aero to max.

There's definitely another tenth or two if I nail the lap, but probably not capable of a low .19, at least not with my tuning skills...

I lack driving skills but also thought about the LFA. Now I can have a look at the tuning and the driving. Thanks for sharing!

It might sound different but I chose my weapons quite early this time: The Toyota Supra '19 for RWD and the Nissan GT-R R35 for AWD. For FWD I went with the Volvo V40 but am not happy so far and several seconds off.

Over all my personal opinion is that this round is more about the driving than the tuning and that there are many ways to get a good result. Right now I would like to keep the rules and move on to Brands Hatch for round 3 (because of the bloody poll I cannot remove 🤬). Any comments and suggestions are welcome as usual...
