Who do I hafta send an email to for GT5 to create this car for an update. Hands down, currently, one of the best LMS cars in real life.

Audi-Le-Mans-2011170006.preview.jpg

Sending an email won't make them make the car. Just wait and see if it turns up as DLC.

We have the R10, why do we need another Audi Race Car?

Yay. Another wishlist thread.

'tis a nice car and would be a very welcome dlc addition, can you ask them for the Signatech Nissan too while you're there?

Yay. Another wishlist thread.

Every wishlist thread is half full of sarcastic comments like this, so...

Yay. Another wisea** comment.

It blows my mind how simple it is for people to just ignore threads they don't like, yet how few people seem able to do that...

First of all, I am sure you will see that car in GT6.

2nd, I would rather they concentrate on road cars for DLC.

3rd, For the love of The Mighty Onion, could we please get a DLC and DLC request forum so that all these threads can be in there for those interested to read and post, and those who never want to see another one, to not even see the thread in their listing.

Ironic post is ironic. Well done chap.

In all fairness, those wise commented wouldn't be warranted, had the other 498,867,396 people just searched or simply scrolled on the first pages on half of GT5's forums to see the the millions of 'fresh idea for a car' threads. I know, it's a lot to ask. How silly of me.

We have the R10, why do we need another Audi Race Car?

R10 has a V12 diesel with twin turbo chargers. R10 was never really fast on smaller tracks even in real life, was designed for large open tracks like La Sarthe or some of the other large European tracks.

R18 has a small light weight V6. Smaller car overall made for lightness and nimble around any track.

Very different cars like comparing American muscle cars to light weight Lotus.

And the fact that it is Audi's first coupe since the very under developed R8C makes it even more intense.

Short Bus
Simple solution to a simple problem.

Don't click on the thread. Nobody forced you to.

You are correct. Because heaven forbid this was an actual question regarding a car, or perhaps confusion that needed to be cleared up, and not just another redundant thread about cars that are not in the game.

The Audi R18 can actually compete against the 908 whereas the R10 can't....

I have a question, why is the R10 so much slower than the car it replaced?

It was just a GT5 question. The real R10 (3:31.211) lapped Le Sarthe more than 2 second's faster than any R8 (3:33.483) during their fastest lap's in race. Yet on GT5 the R8 will walk all over the R10 consistently.

Side note, the R15 lapped Le Sarthe in 3:19.074 during a race. Huge improvement.

That was a 908 HDI FAP (fap fap), driven by Loic Duval. And the track was slightly shorter :)

I stand corrected, thank you Peter.

I definitely agree with you that wishlist threads are too numerous, and that people need to search more often. Searching more is definitely not too much to ask. I just don't know what is gained from all the sarcastic comments people post. Seems simpler to me to just let it be.

Hadn't considered that part of it, good point. The title of the thread should probably contain the word wishlist so that uninterested parties can ignore it.

The R10 was competetive not only on long tracks such as La Sarthe.
The car made its debut at the 12 hours of Sebring in 2006, a track with lots of corners and few short straights.
I know that comparing pole position lap times is not the best way to estabilish which car is faster at all, but surely it works better than doing the same by comparing figures written on a paper like "horsepower", "torque" and so on.
So here's a list of poles and fastest lap times set on Sebring (12 hours event), during qualifying sessions, since 1999. Note The track hasn't changed since then.

I know rules change, but cars improve too.
Please don't ask me to do the same job for other tracks also cause i've spent almost one hours to write this list! :D

@Lloyd87 I don't see why you had to anyway's you just confirmed my thought's. My grippe was the R10 is very much so a R8 killer yet on GT it get's slaughtered.

I don't know why I did it.. I just felt I had to :D
My intent was to confirm your thoughts, the R10 is so underrated in the game, I have nothing to say about it being slower than the Peugeot, but it can't be even slower than its predecessor R8!
The R8 is a great car, but maybe too overrated here. And so are Group C cars.

And the fact that it is Audi's first coupe since the very under developed R8C makes it even more intense.

Although it wasn't badged an Audi, the R8C was developed into the Bentley Speed 8
