Is any other Australians noticed that every time there's DLC its always available everywhere else but OZ... I think this is really quite average that PD dont release any of the DLC for us, why are we always overlooked....:grumpy:....
If any of you aussie's out there feel the same jump on board... maybe if we make enough noise we'll get noticed... And just maybe we'll end up with some DLC for once...

Aren't Australians also the ones who get new games last?
 
Yes we are usually the last to get games but thats because of our rating system etc. but on topic. I dont really care for the current DLC as the cars arent that good anyway. And the one track and car/s that Australians want will either not be implemented ever in GT5 or not for a very long time.

Wrong. We get most games at the same time as EU/NA.

If we get games later, it's not because of our rating system, it's because most developers consider Australia as a small market.

As Australian DLC goes, PD better give us some loving with replacement of FPV vehicles in premium guise as well as some old school Bathurst cars.
 
If we're talking Australia and DLC's....add more Australian cars! I want premium Falcons and Clubsports! I love Australian cars! It must suck to get games later. :( I've been wondering why FPV's are excluded from GT5 (unable to be imported from GTPSP).
 
I would love to see some Oz tracks and cars in the game. THe new Motor Trend I just received in the mail had the new Ford Falcon in it and I am in love. And when I see clips of the V8 Supercars series I love them. Like them much better than what little I have watched of NASCAR.

So count me in as supporitng AU DLC supporter-- and please bring AU tracks and cars (especially the V8 Supercars racecars) to the GT series!!

Side note, I have a good friend that is doing a 3-5 year contract in Alice Springs. She seeems to like it so far, although she is wanting to use some vacation time to go see some of the prettier parts of Australia. My family hopes to go visit her before she comes back.
 
AUS is among the few countries from the Southern Hemisphere which are officially on PSN, the rest are just figments of our imagination:irked:
 
Not really a big fan of Australian cars in real life but it would be nice to have them in the game

Agreed, where is our DLC. It means we will never be able to complete and sort of game complete as we cannot collect all the cars. EG the new camaro that is a offer for Schick US.

Agreed. We need FPV back! I doubt they will include old school cars, but a few premium commodores/falcons would be nice, and Bathurst is a given 👍

I'm pretty sure there is already a thread about this but nonetheless brensta you have a point. We are overlooked, it must be further and more expensive to travel to Germany or America than it is to Australia as I believe Perth is on the same time zone as Japan (correct me if I'm wrong) we're practically neighbors to Japan.

Some day we'll get Premium Aussie content in this game, if not then probably for GT6. I highly doubt you'll see Bathurst though.

Why do you doubt that? Bathurst is one of the best tracks in the world and the recent inclusion of FIA GT3 spec cars in the Bathurst 12 Hour is going to lift its global profile. Not to mention V8 Supercars are now an official FIA championship.

If you ask me, Gran Turismo would be the best possible place to promote the circuit and the 12 Hour/1000 races. If anything, the circuit owners should be contacting PD :).
 
Love to get the hsv ute in, and some Aussie muscle cars. Would add some value to the game.

The V8 Supercars series could have been a super hit for GT5 :) I love those cars!!! ... :dopey: And they are like a 10 thousand times better than Nascar... :crazy:

Haha, true. Although if PD had have done as poor a job with V8 Supercars as they did with NASCAR, I'm happy they weren't included.

Hopefully PD get their act together for GT6 and give us descent AI and damage systems and overhaul the whole racing aspect of the game. Then V8 Supercars would be awesome!
 
We are in global terms a small and isolated market, it`s the same mindset as when your being picked to play soccer(for example) at school. The good(most profitable) kids are picked first and it dribbles down to the hopeless kid who cant kick the ball to save his skin(who`s not worth picking) and that is us here in AUS in the global market view. So why would you bother? Sucks but the truth hurts. USA 300 million people, EU 400million, AU 20 million the numbers say it all really.
 
It shouldn't have anything to do with population. Australian cars are sold in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, America, UAE, and probably others that I'm unaware of. The Vauxhall VXR8 (HSV Clubsport) is sold in the UK, which has a population of over 60 million... If GT5 really was the car encyclopedia PD claim it to be, they would put the effort into including at least a couple of cars from all the significant markets around the world.

Not only that, but Australia have one of the top top touring car championships in the world, host a round of the Formula 1 and, as mentioned, have one of the best race tracks in the world.

Fair enough if they couldn't get the licences to companies like Porsche, but given the amount of time and money that went into GT5, there's no reason why they couldn't include at least a couple of Australian cars.
 
Give us the old toranas and old GTs.
I myself as a XU1 owner and my dad a ford gt owner would love to race eachother, not in real life but in the game.

what about phillip island circuit? its a great fun track to use. i've ridden it on my bike and it was that much fun, but very very fast.

wouldnt want to crash my bike there.

Phillip island would be great, I mean it hosts rounds of the Moto GP and Superbikes and the Phillip island classic which attracts classic race cars from all over the globe.

But seriously...

I dont see getting Bathurst as a track that big of a leap of imagination actually, it has featured in many other racing games and shouldn't be to hard to get the licence for. What is probably the stumbling block is getting all PD's resources mobilized half way around the world to detail one single track.

The cars maybe a whole other issue and a probably more far fetched (no matter how much we jump up and down and scream, the facts unfortunately point to us as being a small market with limited profit potential), although I imagine 'IF' PD makes the trip down under we will see the latest offerings from a respective manufacturers... and hopefully a few oldies!:drool:
 
yeah the E3 HSV's are a joke. i love holdens but burn them with fire!
