Fluke, you're new. You've got a good bit to say.

But in truth, you aren't really postwhoring. Your posts consistently make sense, and you aren't typin leik da antichrst.

Then again, I sit at 6 posts per day, and I've been here a while.

I tink ma spllin iz not tht badd.

;) But honestly, i dont think you should worry about GT4 dying off mate. More and more people are coming here everyday, and because the PS3 wont be reduced (price wise) for a very long time, people will have to stay with GT4, I bet alot of people had this problem with the GT3 forum when GT4 was released. But theres still regulars milling around there.

Yeah, I know...

But the other GT forums I'm a member of died down noticeably with GT5:P's release.

I'm just a silly arse, never mind me.

Yeah it's sad that it is dying because thare are some people who still love the game so much and everyone is moving on.

Probably about 60-70% of the people still playing GT4 is because they cant afford a PS3 yet.

I know you all are probably not going to like this but in my opinion Forza Motorsport 2 is more fun than GT5 because of how much you can customize cars I mean you can even do engine swaps. But I think GT5 is more realistic when it comes to driving and thats what is important in a driving game.

When I want total control over my car's modification, I play Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3.

And actually, that's where the nick originates from; had a turbo rotary at 450hp swapped into a Lotus Europa. INSANE fast.

If nobody moved on to the next game, then nobody would have played GT4 either, eh? :)

Man, 16 cars on track, in-car view, online, much better AI, finally a hardcore split between arcade and professional driving physics, full G25 support with clutch and H-gate shifter, 200.000 polys per car and beautiful HDR HD rendering, GT5 Prologue is without a doubt by far the biggest step forwards the game has ever taken in any generation. And it's just Prologue.

You sure can't blame people for moving on sooner this time!

Oh, and Ferraris. Did I mention Ferraris?

I hate to burst your bubble Fluke, but there's rumors of yet another price drop in the PS3's future. Personally, I'm going to buy a PS3 when I get the money, but I won't buy prologue. It's 40 bucks for a demo. I can wait for the real game. Till then, I'm ALL GT4.

That wont be for a while though, and i too would buy a ps3 and GT5 when its released if i had the money. but i would still hang around on the forums. Just to check up on things, maybe not at the same rate though!

Plus, when GT5 does come out im planning on hosting some online races between us lot, if anyone else joins in, so it wont be boring. And then those who dont play GT5 could still keep track of whats going on, just an idea.

Agreed! I totally agree, GT4 was kind of doomed from the start, Don't forget ALL the broken promises that are finally being handed over to us, GT4 is nice but GT5P is Amazing! If you loose it in a corner, You have to catch up to 15 cars to place 1st, That's Sweet!

While GT5'll be great no doubt, given the current choice between GT4 and Forza 2, I'm DEFINITELY sticking with GT4. I don't understand the mass fascination with F2... I was severely underwhelmed by the physics AND graphics, and the track modeling was a joke.

My newphew just got a new Xbox360 so i'll finally get to have a look at Forza. It'll be interesting.

Here here, I can wait for the real thing and I already have a PS3, but here I am in GT4 forums ;) As for Forza, maybe my name and things I say would tell you I'm always loyal to what matters to me, and that's Playstation and Gran Turismo. Wouldn't even dream of buying an "Xbox". Painful to say the name.

GT5P has been well worth the money for me, I will buy a local version when it comes too, and a US version if it has different cars and features.

does it really matter that much?? do as you please with your time and money, i thought releasing my tunes online was going to make gt4 so much better, it didn't. i'm very particular and odd about how i like my cars to handle, and i'm also very particular about my tires which never really caught on here.

Rotary, if you're worried about your work in the garage amounting to nothing, you're doing it for the wrong reason. despite my cataclysmic fall from RRV, i wouldn't take the whole experience back, I pushed my tuning ability so much farther by trying to produce widely popular cars that my laps/tunes have improved greatly, it helped me improve as a tuner in general and for that i'm glad. I enjoy the game more now, picking up a car and trying out what i know on it..
It ought to be about pushin your own limits and helpin other do the same, not about getting recognition and attention. if it bugs you so much get a ps3.

Well, a way to gauge the popularity of this is to check who's posting, and, seeing that this is an Internet forum, he cannot rectify any evidence beyond the computer. Of course, if another GTP member lives close by, or if a literal GT Planet is in his neighbourhood, he can see in an instant.

Perhaps he also has too much fun tuning cars, and he badly wants to see people show new interest in the game so he can return to what he enjoys doing.

And, the reason I am not on GT4 is because I am here, writing about it.

Dave: I ain't worried. If worst comes to absolute worst, and GT4 interest drops to NOTHING, I still have GT Legends and GTR2 to fall back on. So I can mod and tune for them. :p

I'd somewhat like a bit more traffic through all the garages; With Aussie Tuners needing it most.

I'm really not too worried; maybe it will pick up again. But I doubt it.

You know, when it was suggested that people would come back to GT4 for a little while after getting bored with GT5P and before GT5 comes out, it only just occured to me that may be a little optimistic. A lot of people will want to play it more just prior to release so they can get in as much practise as possible for the real thing, plus they probably won't get bored of real online play too soon. For tuning garages, the only way I can see to survive is to move to GT5 when the time comes.
I'm not being cocky or anything but I think that RRV needs more help at the moment, it's been a little quiet in your alotment of the pit lane lately. I'm happy to help when I can, I also look forward to seeing some products of the new guy at your garage.

Is it possible to advertise on GT Planet, in place of all those other obnoxious 'Shoot Dr. Octavius!' advertisements? I would like to see that.

RRV is climbing back out of their hole. They just published the tune of the Superbird for me!

The Aussies *nudge* could use a bit more traffic. I know I'm gonna be in there now that you just published that Aston!

thanks RJ we worked hard and glad you have recongised that but MFT needs to acknowlegde there are other GARAGES that are as good as them...and return favours...

*hint hint*

Yes, thanks RJ for recognition of the hard work we've been doing. We can all use some traffic.;) That's it though, there shouldn't be "turns", we should be all in all the time, otheriwse one of uswould die out during the time people are reviewing others. Let's just continue to the best we can.👍

honestly MFT is the only garage that has gotten as much as or more then they wanted to from the niche they created. ehh i'm not going into my opinions on them but no one can dispute their success or skills.

perhaps RRV and AT ought to be out DOING something to promote vs this silly "you really need to get more reviews guys". Does either garage have anything to do with the others business? essentially they are still just posts in a forum.

kyle you're missing the point, if what you want is thread attention you ARE going to lose it, period. gt4 is going out of style as fast a people can afford to buy ps3's and such, its progress. Want to keep it fun to have a garage, then you're going to have to make things like the vintage tuner cup to make it more fun for others and yourself. Why hasn't AT or RRV directly challenged MFT to a duel of cars yet? THAT might get some traffic going on as you release cars to be used in combat with the kings of the hill. not to mention the videos and reviews and votes and all, can i get an amen from anyone else?

...Where have you been Rockit...AT have challenged MFT publicly and through PM's via NH4S and they kinda said were to busy...so wat can we do?

Hmm... I could have SWORN that I did 329 in a 787B and posted a setup, I did a 13.855 in the 1000m... Oh, and I've got a VERY quick FD.

Ah well, I'm obviously not working to promote my garage. Yeah, right.

Also... I don't think I really NEED to challenge the Finns. They brought their A-game to the Tuner Challenge V2, I brought my best, and somehow (must have been a fluke, but...) I came out on top.

But true, if we want traffic, we need to attract it. Gotta clean my inbox first.

I've also been doing as much as I can to promote AT. I too have been entering Tuner Challenges, (even if unsuccessfully the first time, I wasn't ready yet- watch out classics) When someone wishes they had help with a car, I recommend AT to them, or the others as well, we all need it. What dimplz said isn't ENTIRELY true, yes I challenged them, but it wasn't that they were busy. We found that the second of their cars, the Merc they made was mismatched to ours, we would have slaughtered, sorry MFT. The Jaguar was up there with us, but it was to be a dual challenge. Despite that they are all large sedans, you can't race a limo against a sporty sedan, that Merc was a limo.
Wow, that was a lot to say, please note though, if that post seemed written in an annoyed tone, which I can see how it may be viewed that way, but rest assured, I'm just discussing and angry at no one 👍

Despite the stoopid pouring out your mouth and all this internet forum success your having. "your" poor garage has not a spec of the reviews MFT has amassed kyle, without the work me and vince put in you'd still be sitting on the huge success mallender racing was. so how exactly did you get where you are? You give vince no credit, "your" garage, as if i or he never existed, had you not told us falsely that you were dead right about MFT spying, i'd still be there as well so don't even try to bring that up either. frankly without vince all you'd have is mallender again.

I give all the credit for RRV to Vince, He put in as much time making our garage visually pleasing as well as managing the two of us then we did tuning, and has yet to say anything that could be construed as mean or demeaning to anyone on this board, he was the one who had the idea and actually made it happen. Nor is vince in here crying about the lack of traffic, no i bet he's off making banners and trying to learn how to tune, atually enjoying the game instead of trying to prove something. He's still enjoying the garage, he's still working on it, as are the finns, why don't you take a page from the succesful people's books?

that's all i have to say about it.
