I dont know about the finish, but I would like a video of Garth Tander saying to the camera - 'You dont win the race on the first corner, that move was just stupid' đź’ˇ or something to that effect...

and than I want the ability to send that video to other online players :ouch:

So true. I have given up on online. None of my mates are really into cars or games so the only thing I do when I play GT5 now is lap the Nordschleife, just like I did with GT4. If PD had developed a descent AI system I would do arcade races, but until they do that (and include bathurst/V8 Supercars đź‘Ť) I guess time trials it is.
 
Yep that's me too. Only one of my mates plays GT and he gave up after a couple of weeks, it had too many disappointments for him.
Another of my friends plays F1 2010 but he's not that good (although he IS obsessed with the real thing).

So I don't race online much, last night I went and had a few ok races in a random room but there was still plenty of crashing and punting so unless you got out front quickly you ended up being caught in all the rubbish.

Send me a friend request if you want and who knows we might end up online at the same time.

There are a few fast and a few slow drivers, but all have the right idea about clean racing.

Series 1 is on into its final week this sunday (GT300 series) and has been entertaining.
Series 2 is based on the Golf GTi IV RM and will be another 4 race series before another change of vehicle, this car should also breed a lot closer racing which is what the goal is.

Sounds good although I have been having a bit of trouble with my internet lately so I'll have to get that sorted out. My PSN is soco3594 anyway.

Also I can't deal with the dodgy connection issue where the cars skip all over the track. Not sure if it is region related or what but it makes close racing impossible.

Will add you on PSN tonight, if you have a standard GT300 car as per the rules here http://users.tpg.com.au/b_brand//index.htm and wish to join this sundays race just join my private lobby, (I dont put up a public room) about 6:00 Syd time.

Rules are simple... Hard Race tyres, no additional car mods, though you can tune suspension and transmission and 1 pit stop required. This Sunday is Suzuka in the wet so it should actually be a an interesting race. (Of course wets and Intermediates are allowed)

As for the jumping, I have not witnessed it in any races so far, nor have the other guys.. but it would definitely be connection related.

Haha me too, plus it will be the first ride on a new bike so no promises. If I could get out and race at Suzuka for real, I would be doing that too đź‘Ť. That's where GT comes in

Great, hope to see you there Moondance. I try to keep the races around 40-50km depending on car... around 20-25 mins in duration.

Yeah the finish to the 1st race was fantastic, the 2nd race was great because of the rain.

Still trying to work out why Holdsworth was sent out on slicks. :boggled:
 
^ Yeah it was a risky decision. He really needed to nurse the car for that 4 or 5 laps but I think he was too intent on holding his position. It's a shame because had he held on he would have been in a pretty good position come the end of the race
