Now i understand why theres some many police at liverpool hospital...as my mother works there and she was telling it was packed with the men in blue... did it only happen today?

Yeah saw that on the news this morning, only about 10 minutes from where I live. I really doubt that the police are specifically targeting muslims (as some in the community would like us to believe).

Yeah, I guess we can only hope they continue to be as good.

I'm all for these new laws - arrest and search under suspicion etc. Anything to help prevent this stuff.
 
More news, some more raids are going on at night time, and a small Jihad was called outside to where the suspects were to be trialed!

Geeze.. Talk about a media circus.
 
Well, I've just finished my shift and, even though as a security officer I accept I may be put at some risk, I've rarely felt as nervous as I did last night. My patrol area covers everything from Parramatta, through Bankstown, Hurstville, back around through Ashfield and everything in between. There were a lot of people out on the streets last night and I was drawing more than my fair share of stares as I drove past. I was speaking with a couple of Ambulance drivers and they were only attending critical call-outs all night, and had Police escorts for half of them.

Normally I have no problem going anywhere in my area - most people don't think twice about a marked security car attending alarms or doing patrols, but last night it seemed as though everybody was watching me closely.

Canada is basically the place terrorists stay before heading off to the US or elsewhere since we will let virtually anyone get into the country. I doubt the terrorists will attack us though; we're not in Iraq (Although we are in Afghanistan, but the terrorists are more pissy about Iraq. And besides, our troops have had plenty of enemy ordnance come their way in Afghanistan).

Although our military is very troubled, that's not the reason we are a terrorist haven. Our immigration department sucks. If I tried somewhat, I could dig up dozens of stories of immigration screwing up. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a story on immigration botching something in the national news this week. Pretty bad government agency to screw up for a country that is rapidly growing based on heavy immigration... especially considering Toronto is growing way too quickly to build the appropriate infastructure. But that's a whole other issue for discussion...

Also, our intelligence agency (CSIS) is probably also part of the terrorism problem since they lack proper funding (because they are part of the military most likely).
 
I totally agree with the Australian government acting as they did... although it was a bit close to home thank god i live right next to Holsworthy Army Base so i guess i seem pretty safe.

Seems like everyone can plan terrorist attacks!! It's awfull and bush should stfu and do something against his weapon problem in the US cause I think it's rediculous how easy terrorist can get a hold of this stuff. Not saying it's from the US, but there shouldn't be any legal way of getting a gun....

I'm sure there's another group somewhere in the world planning such an attack at the moment. Maybe already in it's final stages and we dont know about it:(
