Not really. All done under VSC and debris cleared in a few seconds. That is how it should be done when drivers actually respect the yellows. We don't need 6 lap safety cars all the time for nothings.I'd say that was a massive safety fail on the part of the race marshals
Brundle did note the graining & you can see the rubber peeling off. Kimi also doesn't think it's an easily doable task.If Mercedes go to the end on these tires then that's not a good sign for the rest of the season.
Fair. It just seemed mega sketchy to have safety crews physically run out onto the track in a high-speed section (even under VSC) with cars still running. Not really. They asked George pretty soon how the tires feel. He could have changed his mind by now.Brundle did note the graining & you can see the rubber peeling off. Kimi also doesn't think it's an easily doable task.
Looks like a big gamble by George.
He just pulled into the pitlane. It wasn't shown on screen.Edit: Both Stroll and Alonso are shown as out. Completely missed what happened to Stroll.
Probably didn't want to hurt his hands more.Fair. It just seemed mega sketchy to have safety crews physically run out onto the track in a high-speed section (even under VSC) with cars still running.

If drivers respect yellows, you can do an AWFUL lot under even just double yellow flags. I appreciate that historically in F1 we never see drivers slow down properly under yellows so I understand your jumpiness, but this is a step in the right direction.Fair. 35 laps and still running 23.0, it didnt matter what Ferrari did or didnt do in the pits.Well the racing is not as bad as I thought it would be. There seems to be a lot of overtakes happening.
Now, Mercedes....how are they keeping those tires and that pace? Ferrari is not closing the gap at all....Lewis look to be closing on Charles but charles is not gaining at all to Kimi.
It's been alternating between the two during the race for many yearsReally hate the shown time differences on the left. I do like cumulative ones much more.
Same. Simple but unique. Reminds me a bit of the Kolles run Audi R10s. I.e. Not the usual Audi silver but more of a matte style grey/silverThe Audi livery has grown on me, that car looks mean.
They're just having a testing session today. I wouldn't even be surprised if they're illegally swapping parts and just taking the DSQ afterwards.Stroll has unretired.
I know. I just seem to always catch the "wrong" one. It's been alternating between the two during the race for many years
The lack of National cheerleading was refreshing.I have to say after my first weekend of watching F1 on AppleTV, it's just been ok. Not better than Sky but not worse either. Just ok.
